What my area of the world is like

BlueMonday:
Now I live in a little area not far from where my parents live called SugarHouse.

That's a sweet name for a neighborhood! Have you become the SugarDaddy of the SugarHouse posse? lol

Well, I live in Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania. It has about 450 000 people and is generally pretty dull. It used to be a very industrial town, but after the collapse of the Soviet Union not a lot of that remains. I live in a block of flats, and my window is facing the biggest crossroad in Kaunas: more than 25 000 cars pass near my window every day. I sort of got used to that and I don't pay attention to the noise (which is not that bad after you've been living in th eplace for more than 10 years). I study in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and I do like it better than Kaunas. I cannot describe my exact place of living in Vilnius, cause I have just moved to another place and will stay there only after 1st of September.

Well, until a couple of weeks ago I lived on a beautiful tropical island just off the Okinawan 'mainland'. Okinawa is the southernmost island chain in Japan, quite close to Taiwan. My little island, Kume, has a population of 10,000 and is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by picturesque cliffs and beaches, and containing very green hills. It's a top scuba-diving destination in Japan, though the main industry is still agriculture and fishing.

Now I'm rather culture-shocked and staying in my 'hometown' Toronto, but soon will be on my way to Calgary, Alberta, where I'll remain for one very long year until I can return to Kume and my lovely girlfriend.

The plan is to live out the remainder of my civ-playing days there, in quiet Zen-like tranquility.

I live in Winnipeg, home of Winnie the Pooh. What i dont like about my city is the fact that i dont see much culture, there arent many skyscrapers, and there arent many historical buildings, or at least not very architecturaly special or anything.. if you know what i mean, i mean, theyre just normal buildings. We used to have a very beautiful town center, but it got sold to a man who destroyed to.. i dont remember. Anyways, something i DO like about my city is the parliament building, which is a historical, and very beautiful building.

And another thing i like about my city is how it looks like a forest when you look at it from a high building. Especially the suburbs (of course). Its cool how you only see trees and then some buildings overtowering them here and there.

I posted the same message twice, so i replaced this one with this, sorry.
