My friends and I liked some of the ideas in civilization-6-expansions-dlc article on pcgamesn.

The immigration, colonization, and internal empire dynamics could make the game more realistic and exciting at the same time.

I'd like to know what other people think. This seems like a great (and plausible) DLC opportunity.

Yup that's the article. There was a problem posting with the url when I tried posting and simply worked when i took it out. Thanks for posting!

I'm not sure either but i still hope firaxis does something to that effect.

Those are good ideas but after the needed AI improvements and extra civs/leaders/units I think the industrial to modern era needs DLC to improve it before we start thinking about a near future era. It could probably do with an extra 10 to 15 techs or so (with the eureka system i gives a really good opportunity to expand the techs in different directions) and a whole more units. In fact in general more units and techs across all eras is a smart move for DLC which would work well with the ideas in the article.

I think one of the first DLC will be an earth map with true starting locations.

None of the above.

Aside from fixing the AI and balance issues first, the first DLC /expansion feature I want to see is the promised late-game 'war by other means' mechanic.
Right now, you can do more damage with your spy than in previous games and the espionage system is actually kind of fun. But it's not enough. Obviously not having casus belli attached to repeatedly breaking promises not to spy by the AI is also weird, but that's for another day.

I want more cyber! (warfare)

Yeah, I really like the immigration component. I don't know how they could manage to have large empires and stuff break up. I'd be pretty frustrating losing half my civ.. I was mostly snarking at the author for saying that wide empires were the only viable ones in Civ 5, which is patently untrue
