What sins have I committed? Too many to list. I've succumbed to all the ones on that list at one time or another, although thankfully not all at once.

Wiki also tells us some interesting history of the deadly sins.
The list wasn't always as it is now.

First there were eight:
The 8 thoughts of evil as described by Evagrius are: gluttony, fornication, love of money, discontent, anger, despondency, vainglory, and pride.

Then a slightly altered list of eight:
St. John Cassian in his "Conferences" describes the eight principal vices as gluttony, fornication, avarice, anger, sadness, acedia (anxiety, or weariness of the heart), vainglory, and pride.

And finally seven:
It was not until the late 6th century that St. Gregory the Great (then Pope Gregory I) described the seven sins in his Moralia in Job. He reduces the list to seven items. His ranking of the Sins' seriousness was based on the degree from which they offended against love. It was, from least serious to most: lust, gluttony, sadness, avarice, anger, envy and pride (abbreviated into the mnemonic palegas). Sadness would later be replaced by acedia, or sloth, in putting off what God asks you to do and not doing it at all.

No, the catholic church won't give a definative list, it likes to keep you guessing.
It does offer this list as examples though (according to wiki).
Some sins that orthodox (note: not the Eastern Orthodox) Catholics consider to be mortal include adultery, murder, lust, missing mass on Sunday, perjury, incredulity, and the use of contraceptives.

That's a good thing nothing about sin or morals or ethics is ever 100% true in all cases, the church should be wary of making definitive things a sin, because context clouds the issue.

Obviously Civ general if you so not worship God or are unsure of his existence then you cannot be subject to his laws. Otherwise there are a hell of a lot of mortal sinners out there, considering that Christianity is not representative of anywhere near the majority of either believers or non believers.

I was searching earlier and found this OT but it made me LMAO:rotfl:

Eating too much hotpockets.

Also guilt, envy, rage, and pride. Definantly pride.

All of them. And I don't consider lust or pride a sin.

I must say that is the most odd list

Sign me up for all of them.

No real value, except for literature and movie plots.

Oh, and add 'Lechery' too (right Rambuchan?).

Damn, I'll rot in hell for certain

None of them are in thought unless your a catholic in which case you'll have to go to confess for something you didn't do and weren't going to anyway;)

all of them, but pride & lust are my two biggest. :\

Me:

Pride - Yes. But I deserve it. :smug:
Glutony - Yes. Especially when I'm not the one paying for the meal.
Sloth - Yes. But only during weekends, and when the girlfriend isn't with me.
Lust - Yes. I've once slept with someone else's wife AND someone else's girlfriend, but not in the same year, of course.
Envy - Yes. I envy the very rich with their mansions, luxury cars and many mistresses.
Rage - Yes. When things go wrong. I usually take it out by kicking stray dogs and cats.
Greed - Yes. I want more! More! MORE!!!

OTOH:

Faith - Iffy. I'm still in that phase. Perhaps my faith will return when I grow older.
Hope - Yes. I'm sure I will achieve my dreams someday.
Charity - Yes. I give when I have spare change. And I DO help strangers when I see them genuinely needing help.
Fortitude - Yes. Only losers quit, but that doesn't mean I don't know when to cut my losses and back out of a hopeless situation.
Justice - Yes. I think I'm quite fair. I do not let the gifts and stuff sway my judgement. :mischief:
Prudence - YES! You gotta be kidding. I'm probably the cheapest git in the world.
Temperance - Yes. One has to take care of one's body too if he wishes to live longer and healthier to enjoy his money.

So I guess they cancel each other out eh? :D

Here we go folks. This is the real antichrist.:satan:

Guilty of all the above and I wouldn't have it any other way. Of course one can 'indulge' themselves in these from time to time, or at one time or other, in moderation and still remain a perfectly respectable and decent human being.

Mate, I am not one to look to for answers of this nature.

I don't believe anyone who says they have not committed any of the 7 deadly sins (by that I mean even if you say you've committed 6 out of 7 I don't believe you).

And I'm being deadly serious (pun intended). :p
