I wanted meccano when I was a kid, I kept asking for it, but the parents just bought more Lego and Quadro instead. Hey, that makes another reason to get married and so on - I'll be able to buy Meccano "for the kids"!
Hoo hoo! Those things were the shiz-nit! I never had any though: unfortunately, my parent only bought me a minimum of 'trendy' toys, so I had to choose carefully on my christmas wish-list
I played with Army Men, gigant Gozilla, toy cars and Action figures. Sometimes, I got my Army Men to fight the gigant Gozilla. Or made-up a whole racing constest with my friend Leo, the 'Formula Pariquis'

It was brilliant for my Star Wars micro-machine gaming, particularly as it had a motor and quite happily wandered it's way across the room as I recreated Hoth. When I first built it though, I spent a day making it, only to find I put the motor in backwards - the damn thing walked backwards
