I've been watching a ton of WW2 documentaries lately and it got me in the mood for some Civ. So I fired up Civ 6 and loaded one of the huge YNAMP Earth maps and picked a bunch of civs...

Soooooo TIL, that if you play with more Civs than there are Pantheons available (22 IIRC), and you dont get your Pantheon before they all run out... the game is broken, because you can't end the turn without picking, but with all the Pantheons gone there is nothing to pick... game locked

I'm still having a lot of fun with Besiege. Most of my contraptions tend to fall apart or blow up violently though.

Wow, really? That's extra stupid. I've never tried playing with that many Civs, 'cause I think my machine would stand up and slap me. If you want a workaround, I think there's a mod that adds a bunch of religious beliefs.

Just out of curosity, I googled "civ 6 pantheon softlock" and found a post. Shift+Enter will end your turn.

But... isn't that the (whole) point...?

Well, you're supposed to make the various buildings fall apart/violently blow up, not your own siege engines. I am an excellent builder :smug:

Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth: Rising Tide

Haven't played in a few years, however, an old record taken from my notes of the Tech Web.

A Harmonious Supremacy player believes in the practice of improving humanity by any means necessary; applying radical transformation to human physiology via alien or technological augmentation and extension.

A Harmonious Supremacy player can construct the gate faster at level 14, unlike the typical supremacy player at 15.

That's a good game!

I wish I wasn't so intimidated by modding...I really want to get some new buildings for SimCity 3000. The city I'm currently working on is running out of land fast. I have also almost hit 400k in population, which is a major trigger in the game that causes demand for business districts to skyrocket and demand for industrial zones to fall. This raises value/taxes overall and reduces pollution.

I have already torn out all the light industrial zones inside the 0-ring highways and replaced them with business zones. I did have to rezone some districts around on of the airports to make them less dense so the buildings wouldn't get too tall. If there are tall buildings around the airport, the biggest planes will not fly out of it. I'm not sure if this is a binary thing - if any single tall building hurts the airport. I know a lot of them certainly will, but right now there is a single high-rise near one of my airports I am debating about whether or not I should tear it down.

There are no big plane animations at that airport when I checked but that could have been a random variation at that moment and not a trend.

Not my gif, because ever since plays.tv stopped working properly I haven't recorded anything. Radeon's recording software is not easy to use and the one and only time I got it recording it had audio desync

anyway. superflight.

Well, it worked....sort of....

It was supposed to launch the bomb into the air, but for some reason it didn't work. Granted, even if it did it still would've blown up my own machine.

In hindsight, I'm not even sure what this siege engine was supposed to even do. And the lack of (controllable) steering is a...bit of a problem.

But it looks cool. At least until it tips over.

So, where's the rush for post #1000?

I guess this means that my thread title is the best ever and this thread should stay in use until the end of time (or the CFC servers at least) :smug:

Especially not....uh, what's the name of that game again? Barbarian?
