Since its illegal where i live and i dont know how i would get it.

Xanikk999, you are going to get a variety of responses. And considering the quality of marijuana within the United States, you're going to get negative responses.

There are far too many types and variations of the marijuana plant to state a simple feeling or reaction to it. In fact, smoking marijuana will probably not even get you high.

Marijuana has to be consumed properly and of good quality to do anything to you. Once again, I cannot spell out for you what you would experience, however one common reaction is increased appetite.

Why do you want to get drunk? What would you achive out of that?

Surprising how many people have answered here who have actual experiences of trying the drug. A question: why did you do it in the first place? Pot's description as a "social drug" makes me think that most of the time it's something you would try to keep a party fun, or whatever. That makes it sound like peer pressure is usually involved, though. So, why?

The reasons for people smoking marijuana (yes, it specifically, not other drugs) are always something I wonder about.

I have never used marijuana, but I know people who have. It is very dangerous. If you use it, STOP. If you do not use it, DON'T START. If you know anyone who uses it, GET THEM HELP.

I don't think there was a specific reason. it's a bit like why I play videogames. I guess the process was roughly similar, what I heard and read about it was rather positive, then I had an opportunity to try it, and liked the results, and so kept on playing videogames/smoking pot.

Interesting, so are you saying that, prior to first trying pot, you had heard more good things about it that the negatives, such as the possible physical side effects?

dude get out more!

seriously go to a party and them guys in the corner smoking a 'fag' ask for a puff and then you'll see for yourself.

personally-overrated, its relaxing and makes you find the stupidist things funny.

I've never smoked pot, but I've been around those who have. It's just makes you laugh a lot and sprout nonsense (funny nonsense I always lmao around pot smokers, they say the funniest things).

thats all crap, its a completely harmless drug, makes you calm, relaxed, hungry and lightens your mood. I consider acholol to be lots more dangerous, as alc in large quantities makes some people aggresive and most adventerous.

You can also consume much more of it, so you've can damage your body a lot more than you could with weed (smoke a joint or two and you've had enough of it and want to go to sleep).

Obviously effects vary with people and some individuals certainly go over the top even with weed, but thats quite an exception i'd say.

He's a kid, he shouldn't be drinking/ doing drugs. Unless you ain't in America, in which case I hope that you just get a better idea for your time.

No, I have no interest in doing drugs.

Basically yes.
I also drink alcohol, despite the well-known physical side effects.
But I never, ever had the desire to try cocaine, heroine, crack, or any kind of "hard" drug.

Saying that marijuana is less harmful (to the individual and to society) than alcohol, while true, is hardly a ringing endorsement. There are usually better ways of dealing with reality.

I don't think I smoked to deal with reality.

Why's that? If you drink alcohol, knowing that it can have severe effects on your health, as well as possibly making you an unpleasant or even dangerous person when you drink too much, why have you never wanted to try hard drugs? In other words, what is it, to you, that makes alcohol different from these drugs and acceptable. Is it the fact that alcohol is legal and commonly used, or something else?

Spirits ;)

Or cider.

Xanikk try mixed drinks if you cant stand the taste of beer or wine. Most american beers are watered down crap anyways.

Rum and coke is a good place to start. 7/10 coke 3/10 rum is a good mix for a noob. Might take 2 or 3 depending on how old/how much you weigh.

As for pot, its highly dependent on the quality of it, which varies from region to region.

As for WHY people do it, well, in order to understand something, expierience is often the best judge. I feel it makes for a more well informed descision.
Contrary to popular opinion, people dont drink or smoke to "deal with reality" or other escapist things. Some do, but some others simply enjoy the expierience. Sometimes, it is that simple.

I dont want to get drunk in public though. I get the feeling when your drunk you do things you dont mean to and you will do something you regret later.

I mean i dont want to get drunk and then find out i get charged with sexual assault or something. Is that possible and not remembering it?

Good question.
First I think that alcohol in moderation will not have severe effects on your health. But I was much less responsible in my alcohol use than in my pot use.
But there is also the notion of dependency: it's a lot easier to get addicted to hard drugs than to alcohol and pot. I think that's the main reason for me, I don't want to be addicted to anything.

The reasons for people smoking marijuana (yes, it specifically, not other drugs) are always something I wonder about.

When I first started smoking pot all I did all day (besides school) was skate and bike with my friends. We met some older kids who were smokin and they invited us to join them. I didn't get high that time, but the next time we did it with them I did, and we rode down hills on bikes and it was amazinngly fun. I guess I tried it initially because I A) didn't believe what they said about it in school, cos I had already drank and that wasn't bad and B) was curious about it. Pot doesn't KEEP a party fun, but if a party is already fun, it just becomes sillier and more random. Weed doesn't just effect your outlook, you sometimes get a body high, where your body feels really cool and nice. Peer pressure is involved inasmuch as it is in every part of our lives. If a friend invites you over to do something you've never done before (games, skating, weed, whatever.) and you enjoy it, you've given in to peer pressure as the definition stands. That word choice is basically just an argument to appeal to someone's individuality, which is quite effective. It also presupposes that people WANT to give drugs away for free, which is really not the case.
