Whats your favorite Youtuber

Rooster Teeth videos are fun to watch, but they blew up in October a bit because Mad King Ryan (a core member) was cheating on his wife with underage? fans for years.

In the order in which I found them:
  1. Lazy Game Reviews
  2. The 8-Bit Guy
  3. Techmoan
  4. Mark Felton Productions
  5. The Tank Museum Bovington
Retro tech and war stuff, basically.

Of the five, I’m going to give the slightest edge to Techmoan because Mat shows off a lot of retro tech I’d never heard of, especially in Europe like the Philipps Video 2000 system, an attempt to compete with the VHS and Betamax video standards.

I used to watch Rooster Teeth stuff. Would never have expected it from that guy! He always seemed like the mild-mannered goofy dad type.

I currently watch, for gaming, the LaFave Bros (Elder Scrolls stuff, one of these is the "have you heard of the high elves" guy) and 2ndJerma (stream highlights for the Twitch personality Jerma985), and for music, Todd in the Shadows (pop song reviews, one hit wonder reviews, career-killing album reviews) and Spectrum Pulse/Billboard Breakdown (new album reviews and pop chart-watching).Of these, Todd is my favourite. I watch a lot less Youtube than I used to but still probably too much.

Did anyone here know that @warpus has content on YouTube? :)

There are several I've followed over the past few years - a few of the regular Handmaid's Tale episode reviewers (silent on that front lately since this season couldn't be finished due to the impossibility of filming on location in Toronto during a pandemic), used to follow a Dune channel until the presenter did what he said he wouldn't do, which was to get into the nuDune stuff, and he was a jerk to everyone who pointed out his errors, but the current favorite is Wuauquikuna - two brothers who post music videos and do livestream performances on weekends. These consist of a combination of music and chat for about an hour; since I don't speak Spanish or Polish or Russian I only understand the English and French content. I'm learning, though. It's a cosmopolitan group of fans and the musicians sometimes explain some things about the instruments they play. Now that I'm not constantly packing and moving stuff I need to get caught up.

Dunno if anyone here watches videos of movie or TV show reviews, but I don't mind recommending Smirking Gun Reviews. The host is into SF and superhero shows, and replies to some of the comments (complimented me once on a post I made about one of his Handmaid's Tale reviews, which was nice). The only thing I should warn about him is that some of his language is NSFW; don't listen to him at work or in front of little kids, as he can be very... blunt sometimes.

Probably ashens. There's just something about a brown sofa, a pair of hands and a collection of tat that I find remarkably entertaining.

I watch a lot of youtube. Probably too much.

Julie Nolke - She does comedy skits. Funniest youtuber in my opinion.
Cox n' Crendor - It's a channel about animated shorts from the podcast Cox n' Crendor. Also very funny
Chris Heria - For calisthenics routines. Great channel since Covid hit and gyms aren't a thing anymore.
Jeremy Jahns and/or Chris Stuckman - For movie reviews.
CinemaSins and/or CinemaWins - For poking fun at movies
PotatoMcWhiskey - For CiVI let's plays
MinutePhysics - short entertaining videos about physics topics
OverSimplified - Funny/entertaining videos about history topics. Mostly war since history is a lot of war.
