When did you first get on the Interweb?

So, what was your first online experience? Do you remember?

I got on at 15 by the way (1994). I spent most of my first few weeks downloading shareware games for my Mac and trying to get girls' phone numbers and photos in AOL chat rooms . A few months after I turned 16 I was sent to this boarding school where I wasn't allowed a computer so I was offline until 18. At college (19-20) I was barely online at all either (though I used e-mail a bit from the library and played some yahoo chess). It wasn't until around 21 that my serious internet addiction began. I got into forums about a year or so later (CFC being my first ) and the rest is history.

With my friend at his dads office, looking for cheatcodes for LBA2. Thats gotta be like 10 years ago or something now. Got my own computer in 98, been addicted to the inteweb ever since.

Rough guess is when I was 16 (2001), though I barely used it for anything other than instant messaging. Only really started using the internet properly when I was 20 (2005), with growing efficiency.

I had a very very limited dialup connection when i was aprox 14. But i never stood online for more than 30mins per week because it was expensive as hell.

The more active interneting started in the autumn of 2005 - a bit later in december i joined the forum.

i was 13 or 14 too, at that time, me and a firend used to chat on E-Society, one of the first chats ever. SOmewhere in 1995.

I voted 11, but after some thought decided that it's more like 13. I wasn't doing much in particular for a year or two. I do remember finding some Civ site while looking to download Civ2, and promptly forgetting about it. A year and a bit later, the urge to play Civ had risen and I went looking for that site, finding it, joining the forums and starting my long history of wasting too much time on the net.

The site was Apolyton, btw.

I was definitely using the internet in 1995, at age 12. I used BBs before that; not sure when exactly.

When I was 4... I didn't have a computer at home, but I knew a lot about them, so whenever the Windows 95 computers at school broke or froze, I had to tell them what was wrong with it or fix it. Computer is my life.

I think 11, when I was almost 12, I don't remember exactly. The first forum I visited was this, a month before I joined. I was 13.

I think I first went on when I was about 4. At that time, I think I was sitting on my parents lap while doing so. I first went to Nickleodean and cartoon Network websites, back when my family had AOL. I started getting serious about it around 12

I got, or rather persuaded my parents to get, Internet to play Diablo online. Not sure when Diablo was released, but I think it was -97(?) in which case I was 12.

about 14, when the aoe 1 was on the msn zone. I use to play on the zone and spend time in the MSN gaming zone wide chat. I knew everyone ... those were the days...

Whoa! I've never talked to anybody who ever used OS/2. I almost thought the whole thing was a hoax

I downloaded a shareware game/looked up walkthrus every now and again when I was 11 (1998), on my dial-up..but I think I really didnt use the internet much (email, forums, research), until I was 16 (2003)
