When me and my brother were younger, we would try to open our presents just after midnight on Christmas day, because we were only allowed to opened presents in the morning, and that is the start of morning. Unfortunately, our parents told us that we could only open our presents once we have woken up.

Last year Santa got me an electronical ignition system from an Autobianchi A112 Abarth. It arrived in november :) .

This year I hope Santa will bring me a hockeystick on the 24th.

I'm 1 quarter Swedish so I get to open atleast 1 present on christmas eve (i dunno if it's tradition or timezones)
...
It's tradition; In Sweden Christmas eve is the big thing, nothing special happens on Christmas day...

On Christmas day we go out and get as drunk as possible. At least I do. :mischief:

Church service ???? YOU ????

I opened my Christmas Presents on December 5th. Well actually they weren't Christmas presents, but St Nicolas presents.

Once a year, on 24 december at 11pm in the 'Nederlands Hervormde Kerk' in Ommen. Just to please my grandmother.

As a kid, I visited the 'Gereformeerde Kerk' in Ommen each sunday, until I was 18.

Here it´s tradition to open them after dinner on christmas eve. However, after I turned 18 we agreed on not buying gifts for christmas anymore.

Always do one the night before, the rest Christmas am

I open my pressies on Christmas day when my hangover has subsided enough to allow me to move. I spent the whole of last christmas day hungover, and was still hungover on Boxing day when I went out in the evening.

Here the presents are also opened on Christmas eve, usually after dinner and singing some "christmas songs" (I don't know the right english word for it, sorry).

As soon as Christmas vacation starts. What else is that vacation for but to use your presents?

I'm not Christian, though, but we do give each other presents around this time because a)everybody else does-got to have somethign to talk about and b)it is around a Muslim gift-giving holiday.

BTW, I'm going to try a mini threadjack. How many of you gave presents to your parents for Christmas when you were kids or teenagers? I got my mom a TV last year, and the year before that we painted her room. I talked to some of my friends(who were Christian, no less), and they don't give their parents presents! Even some of the ones who get an allowance from their parents!
