When reading on the internet...

If the font colour is hard to make out, or I want somebody else to read something, I highlight it, but only then.

Yes I do. But only when the text is large and hard to read.

There are certain times when I will. (I only do it by paragraphs, not lines or words.) To keep my place in a huge wall of text, to make it more legible when the text/background colours are too similar, or when I'm going to be copy-and-pasting.

Never occurred to me, even for pausing amidst long blocks, although that sounds like a good idea.

Never have and never thought of it.

...do you highlight the text with your mouse as you go read?

Just curious :)

I actually do sometimes, especially if it's long. I'm not really sure why, I just sort of highlight things for the heck of it.

No, Im a really fast reader and trying to follow where my eyes are looking with the mouse would be a big hassle, and one summer years ago, I had to stay indoors all summer (doctors order) and I developed that carpal tunnel syndrom, so I try to use the mouse as little as possible.

Mostly never.

However, in very long reads with a bad organization, I usually mark sections to avoid missing the right line I'm supposed to read next.

Just a device to compensate bad formatation, then.

Regards :).
