When was the apex of [American] power?

The majority of muslim governments supported the US during the first iraq war.
Not really. We had Saudi Arabia (who wasn't all that enthusiastic about us being there) and a few minor Gulf States. Sure, there were some middle eastern states who 'supported' us being there, if only because Saddam hadn't made himself very popular with his pan-Arabism. For them, pan-Arabism was very good, providing they were all uniting under their flag.
Our 'muslim allies' never really wanted us there in the first place, all but refused to bomb Iraq (there were numerous issues of Saudi fighter pilots returning from bombing raids because 'there was cloud cover'), and played little to no part in the ground offesive.

Economically the US was the most dominant in 1946 but in raw military power it was barely on par with Stalin with his hordes of troops.
Actualy, we were in better shape then the Soviet Union. We may have had fewer troops in Europe at the time, but the Soviet industrial complex was almost at the edge of ruin and they had some pretty severe supply problems. America had an untouched industrial complex with the capacity for millions of more troops to be deployed into Europe.

UNITED STATES
Apollo 11 Moon Landing
Sunday, 20 July 1969

Two American astronauts land on the surface of the moon. US economic and military power is challenged only by that of the Soviet Union. The US dominates the information/intelligence race with the SR-71 flying well above Soviet defenses. Just a few years later, US-48 production of petroleum will peak, the US will officially lose the War in Vietnam, the oil embargo and subsequent energy shocks come immediately after that. Nearly two decades of low military morale and operational failures follow.
