Russia. I must break some unsuspecting AI in y blizzards.

Then Sweden, Maori and/or Inca.

Hungary, so far. I did love Mali and Carthage in Civ IV and Ottomans in Civ V, so who knows at the end of the day - but right now Hungary is where it's at.

I love the focus on CS levying, the Pearl of Danube ability for building districts, a UU that upgrades into another UU? I cant wait to try a Diplomatic run with this guy.

I love generating gold, so Mali. I can't imagine one of the upcoming announcements beating Mali for me.

Me too. I am actually changing my vote now.

Mansa Musa will be the new Nwabudike Morgan. Or perhaps Nwabudike Morgan was the new Mansa Musa since he came after. :)

I forgot to mention Morganites is my favorite faction in SMAC. Mali will be tough to play as my first game for sure, but I do intend on dropping down to Prince level.

I won't be choosing Mali as my first Civ, I play on Immortal and don't want to get wrecked early on. Plus i'd like to see other people play as Mali first to learn their strengths and weaknesses.

I always play in chronological order from ancient to modern, so Phoenicia.

I'm curious to see how some of the asymmetric civs play out... So probably Mali just edged to the top of my list over Maori.

I don't even have to think about it. I'll be playing as the Maori first, and likely also for my second, and maybe even third game before moving onto the next civ. Can't wait to play them!

Second civ I'll try will likely be the Inca, but I'll wait to see all the new civs first.

Probably Inca or Canada. I like civs with unique improvements + changes to improvements like Canada's tundra farm

I will choice Canada at first, because it seems they are very OP, also in multiplayer.

Phoenicia, because Dido comes first alphabetically.

It's too early for me to vote since I need to know how the other civs are being implemented, but right now it's looking like either the Inca or Hungary, with a slight advantage to the former.

Of the unrevealed, the Ottomans are the likeliest to take the spot, since I'm predisposed to them.

The Maori look great, but I want to play a more "standard" civ for my first game. Mali also seems a bit out there with its gold bonuses and poor production. I'm not sure I'll ever play Canada. Eleanor is a no since she's not leading a new civ. Sweden and Phoenicia are both shrugs from me, conceptually speaking, but maybe one of them could convince me.

My first game will be on a huge pangaea map with the 9 new leaders as my opponents, so none of the above. Right now I'm leaning Victoria because I want to see how good (or bad) Workshop of the World/New Pax Britannica are, but I could go with Cleo or Qin if Iteru and Dynastic Cycle are tweaked. Or just go random, we'll see. :)

Loving all the people who voted for civs we haven't seen first looks for for... some reason....
There are certain civs that, were they on the list, I might well vote for without seeing them. Were Babylon or Maya coming, I'd be playing them first without knowing the civ designs.
