What I mean is if they took the action scenes of either film it would make a good movie. Also, if all the Russians in Enemy at the Gates didn't have stupid British accents.

Half the people here were in diapers when Ishtar came out.

Jaws IV 1983
Rambo III 1988
Robocop 3 1987
Superman IV 1989
Sgt Peppers Band 70s??

Ishtar 1987

Plus which Ishtar is considered the sine qua non of flop movies. When waterworld came out critics dubbed it "Fishtar" and Gene Shallot said he would "Ishtar and feather Gigli". When your film becomes the Watergate of bad films thats an accomplishment.

Two more missed on the list:

1. Howard the Duck (featuring the once delictable Leah Thompson)

2. Hudson Hawk

I have not seen many movies, but the worst one I ever saw was Sweet Home Alabama. Stupid, predictable plot...

Movies that distorted history by claiming America save the world. It gets boring over time watching the same theme over and over again.

Yes, also certain events such as the President's final pep talk before the final battle were deliciously over the top.

I'm watching the movie again right now. And the president seems to have parts that are poorly written dialogue that may have sounded good on paper, but when acted out in the movie it is corny and silly.

Howard the Duck was so rubbish it traumatised me and gave me nightmares as a child. seriously.

"Tally ho, chaps. Lets give Jerry a damn good kicking, and be back in Moscow in time for tea and biscuits. Splendid."

I thought it was an ok film, the love story didn't really work, but it had the potential to work quite well.

Every one here is lying. The worst movies are the ones you can't even remember the name of.

That's the neverending debat : which are the worst movies ?

- The ones who were so pathetics, that you actually enjoyed them, because of their crappiness ?
- The ones who were so average, so character-lacking, that you actually doesn't even remember them ?
- The ones that were so boring you fell asleep ?
- The ones that were so outrageous that they made you wanting to kill the people making them ?
- The ones that were so unbearable you HAD to leave the theater ?

Could be a poll of its own ^^

The Never Ending Story (what's the word for a trilogy that has millions of films?) comes to mind.............
someone shoulda sued hem for false advertising.

has anyone seen Species II?

I would rate that the worst film ever followed closely by Skyscraper featuring Anna Nicole Smith. groucho

Flash Gordon. Anyone seen that? It is one of those films that is so bad that it is funny.

Apparently the lead actor from flash Gordon was dubbed, when the only lines were "oh, no the worlds gonna end" and such.

My #1 most hated film would have to be "Water Babies". Just thinking about it makes me sick.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I think Flash Gordon must have been very tongue in cheek. At least, I hope it was.

I've only seen it once, about 4 or 5 years ago, so I can't actually remember it very well.

Waterworld.
Rambo III isn't far behind.
Independence Day was a *comedy*, actually.

Yes it was trying to capture the feel of the original Flash Gordon movies, (they were probably not tongue in cheek, just very badly acted using old technology on a tight budget).

Hm, I have seen some horrible films I can't remember the names of, but I still know the plots:
-Computers took over human brains some time in the 80ies, it was so boring I fell asleep
-A mutated baboon went berzerk and killed everybody in the building

One I have to see is called "Elves". In a movie guide I read following 'review': "Santas little helpers are being genetically mutated by former nazi scientists"
I HAVE to see that to believe it!

Saving Private Ryan is an awful movie. I can't believe how 50 years after US brilliant victory over the Nazis, people are now able to make propaganda movies about it that would have impressed Goebbels.

In that kind, Independance Day and Armaggedon are the kings though.
