The Holy Grail. According to some people here, I even figure in it.

Conformism is not mandatory. At least not yet.

Holy Grail all the way!

Bright day
Always look on the bright side of life...

So you know which one.

All praise the holy sandal!!!

I don't find Quest particulary funny, I prefer situation humour than hammered gags.

For example in Meaning the Yorkshire scene was brilliant, the rest of film quite less :(

And as the flying circus...

He's a lumberjack and he's okay
he sleeps all night and works all day...

I know someone who used to sing that a lot with his friends.

Well because it is hilarious .

So you see? Even you have encountered Pythons!

Please! This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let's not bicker and argue over who killed who. :p

Anyway, Holy Grail is one of my favorite movies of all time. LoB is great, but not THAT great.

Also, if you want a quick few laughs, go here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071853/quotes

Holy Grail for sheer silliness and comedy, but Life of Brian for a brutally true and painfully honest look at ourselves.

Brian: Look, you've got it all wrong! You don't NEED to follow ME, You don't NEED to follow ANYBODY! You've got to think for yourselves! You're ALL individuals!

The Crowd (together in unison): Yes! We are all individuals!

Brian: You're all different!

The Crowd (together in unison): Yes! We are all different!

Anonymous member of the crowd: I'm not.

No one noticed that I dropped a link with the scripts to their movies? How sad. Check them out!

Great to see so many votes for The Crimsom Permanent Assurance btw :goodjob:

Holy Grail.
It's immediately quotable.

The Life of Brian was good, and it had it's moments, but was, I felt, overall weaker (what was up with the Aliens?), but also quite quotable.

ANFSCD was more of a Best Of clipshow, even though they actually removed some of the funnier elements of the Flying Circus.

Crimson Permanant Assurance was hilarious, but is part of the Meaning of Life.
Meaning of Life was more of a sketch-show, with certain weak sketches (Was Burt Baccharach a philosopher?)
but a number of hilarious ones (Every Sperm is Sacred, Sex Education, and the best bit-"Find A Fish". That segment still makes me laugh.)

Holy Grail, mostly for consistency. There are parts of Meaning of Life and Life of Brian-- many parts-- that are screamingly funny, but there are also less inspired patches. Holy Grail is brilliant all the way through.

Wi nøt trei a høliday in Sweden this yer?

See the løveli lakes

The wonderful telephøne system

And mani interesting furry animals

Including the majestic møøse

A Møøse once bit my sister ...

No realli! She was Karving her initials on the møøse
with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given
her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and
star of many Norwegian møvies: "The Høt Hands of an Oslo
Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Mølars of Horst
Nordfink".

We apologise for the fault in the
subtitles. Those responsible have been
sacked.

Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretty nasti...

Remembering "Find the Fish" from Meaning of Life almost makes me want to change my vote.

I didn't care too much for And Now for Something Completely Different. I think most of the sketches were better in their original versions(it is the show where they re-recorded them right? The danish title confuses me.) Self Defense against Fresh Fruit for instance, is much longer and more funny in the original version, the new one left out all the most fun bits like the 16-ton weight and the tiger.

Holy Grail by far.

Only five votes for the meaning of life??!! I always thought that it was the greatest triumph of the python: thier comedy undiluted, in its most potent form...
