I can't believe cricket is leading this poll.
I play cricket, and I'm also quite good at it, which says something about the level of skill required (played for Yorkshire u-15s a few years ago)
I find football requires much more skill than cricket.
Cricket is all in the mind. You have to concentrate when you're batting, for sure, but most of it is simply instinct. The most important skills are hand-eye co-ordination, balance, and courage (for batting anyway - I;m not much of a bowler, so I can't really speak for them). No particular degree of fitness is required, nor is pace, strength or height, very important).
In playing football, however, you need to be much more of an athlete, and have much more rounded skills; aerobic fitness, pace, ball control, strength, vision, communication, awareness etc.
