Indeed it does. Our climate, despite its latitude, is much more like that of New England than that of the northern reaches of your continent. Last week we had temperatures of 25-30 degrees most every day, this week it's a bit less hot with about 15-20. Winters tend to go down to -20 at least once, for a week or two, but most often stays around 0. The -50 that Iggy reports is something I've never ever experienced. I think -26 is my record, and that was in the Norwegian mountains.

I haven't lived somewhere with snow for many years, but I see it every once in a while when we go visit relatives in Utah for Christmas.

I was down to -9 one year. But that is very rare for my location. So is snow.

You never know what WI will toss at you for weather. One weekend I was camping with the boyscouts we got 6 inches of snow on saturday and they sent us home (this was in May and we usually dont see much snow past the end of March) and the next day it was in the 70s sunny and warm.

Coldest Ive been in would probably be -15-20 Fahrenheit with wind chill making it feel more like -50 below.
