While We Wait: Part 3

Paint has a really quick way to get around that, involving a cut, a single fill, a paste, and switching transparent background color on.
True, but most people don't know Paint's cool little tricks, and even stating them in the open like this, several times, does little to alleviate that.

Unless this is one of the rare instances where NESers actually agree on something.
Unpossible!

I never thought of that.

I find when dealing with NES maps (who says that I use them just for NESing?), Paint usually has everything that I actually need. GIMP is nice, but I don't think the features make up for the complexity.

I don't need anything fancy for my mapmaking. I use Paint Shop Pro 3, whose most advanced tool is a spray can. :p

Less difficult, but also time-consuming considering most of the countries where people would want to do that are broken up into multiple flood-fills.

Again, I don't think you're sufficiently appreciative of how terribly lazy the average NESer is here. :p

This is where GIMPs Select by colour tool, and setting flood fill to 'fill entire selection' comes into play ;). Though I do admit using two buttons in combination may be beyond some people :D.

Your argument falls apart right there for the common NESer. :p Getting GIMP takes effort. Installing GIMP takes effort (it really does, too). Learning GIMP takes effort (it's about ten thousand times less intuitive than Photoshop).

Yeah those "layer" things are a pain in the butt. Besides, nobody likes image manipulators with naughty acronyms.

Shut yo mouth! :p

Layers are the best things ever for images. It's just GIMP does them retardedly.

I wish they would invent super layers. A layer that can have its own built in layers without having separate layers.

I'm getting bored of this avatar. He looks too fat. I'm thinking of going back to Thrawn, Gallienus, or the 181st clone trooper, or with going and switching to a Pellaeon, xkcd Velociraptor (maybe one of the top-down views from the physics problem), "Opus", or "Garfield".

I don't really care about comments, just felt like posting this here while the DayQuil destroys my brain.

The update was wicked. Lets see what talent Abaddon has.

Probably little that I will use in the NES.. I have grown disinterested in it, but am determined to keep it going a while longer at least.

I try not to, but I struggle with the point of NES, from the Mods point of view.

As a player, I set a goal for my nation, and play it through..

Mods, what are your aims that keep you going?

There aims are to cause dimay and joy to their players, for NESing is obsessing.

The goal is to create a new world, and be master of its fate.
