I agree with das that there is little or no chance of conflict. Unless Hugo Chavez is a complete nut he will avoid military conflict. The USA will not stand for it and I am sure many other nations around the world will not either.

He very well may be, at least in a Kaiser Wilhelm II sort of way, but he still won't do anything just yet. Nobody is ready for war, they're just heating things up in preparation for an eventual conflict that may or may not happen. Expect more and more such incidents over the next few months/years.
