I know! I guess its coded into the game for USSR to attack Japan once Germany is defeated. Only in this case USSR had not got involved in the west at all.

That is an excellent idea! But I decided to try a mix of everything that was suggested. SO, first europe (minus britain and scandinavia), then turkey, the middle east and persia, then probably a multi-front war with the USSR, then Japanese east asia (China), and by that point we may have a fleet to get across the pacific.

The thing is, im using the DAIM mod with this game, so the AI for the main powers is greatly improved. Germany only fell because half their army got trapped and destroyed in France. I fear the USSR is just too strong now, even with their war on Japan. NESer forces are still barely above 140 divisions including garrison troops.

General Joe led the march on Paris, after being specially flown in from the Austrian front (but unfortunately, sneaky LG Reno sneaked ahead with his sneaky fast tanks and technically got there first).

The blitzkrieg was soon going very well, with lots of French divisions trapped and destroyed in various exciting ways, so I decided to spread our liberation to include all european countries we had land access to, even though our border defences were wide open on some fronts. I figured we could mop up later on.

I meant more Japan's... really stupid attack pattern...

I make it known my objective is to become the most powerful Field Marshal in history by acquiring all the traits it's possible to acquire. That means fighting in cities, blowing up fortresses, and killing people in forests. That's a lot of work to do, so lets get to it!

I say we finish off Iberia, then hit Russia. What are we researching?

@Lord Iggy, the general I named in your honour led some tanks and motor infantry through hungary/romania/bulgaria, and I think was then assigned to the attack on northwest france, and has since driven all the way down into italy. He's also become one of the most skilled leaders (skill 5) but not highest ranking.

EDIT: @Symphony, recently got Kampfgruppe doctrine, most land and air things up to 1941 standard. Mechanised inf can be built also. I think were currently researching nuclear fuel analysis (penguins are handling that), assembly line stuff, some important naval doctrine, electronic computers (one of those 'secret' techs) and some more electronic decryption stuff.

EDIT#2: Also, about japan's territory, it got that way after the 'puppet china' event fired. I think DAIM changes it so Japan gets territory surrounding china, i guess to facilitate further AI expansion into asia and get rid of supply bugs.

Not quite, I was inspired by a mix of Honsaz_cz's North American Natives and the games of EU2, Victoria, and of course civ. But I think it's quite new to NESing

To be honest, I don't even know if Daft has enough generals open to make you one, though I could be wrong. I haven't seen Grand Admiral Pellaeon Dachspmg yet either.

You can't really call LINES II "continuous". Same with ITNES. RTOR2 lasted a bloody long time in terms of game time, and I think it took like a year, but I'm not entirely sure.
