While We Wait: Part 4

He has nice music, though.

I was just looking through HoI2's ministers and leaders in the editor to see if VIC and FRA's ministers are shared (it turns out otherwise to my annoyment) out of curiosity and saw this:
stalinistcapitalistsd1.png

It might be the chocolate, the lack of sleep, my shallow sense of humor, or a combination of all of those, but I find it funny in a funny way. I'm sure there are several others, for gameplay purposes no doubt. /random

I also ran USA to the ground in a CORE game the other day. The resulting partisans really pwned Canada. /random

A mod for HoI2 where, apparently, the "Revolution!" event (Stalinism/Left-wing Radicalism when USA dissent > 65%) doesn't occur (which led to the whole Canada getting totally beaten by the partisans fiasco).

---

"Comrades, the United States democracy has denied us of goods for living in the past month alone. They have made a joke out of the bureaucratic system by changing people in the offices repeatedly within a day! We must rise up in force, to gun down this mockery of a government!"

"Huzzah!"

Months later...

"Comrades, our radical ideas have spread through the country like wildfire. As we speak even Washington is in the hands of our comrades-in-arms-and-suffering. We have won against the evil Franklin Roosevelt at last. Now it is time to bring what the corrupt and corpulent former so-called government of ours was not able to do: destroy Canada!"

"Huzzah!"

And so the rebel militia moved north and invaded Canada. And the rest, as they say, was history.

While we're on the subject of HoI2 Commies, the best thing about SMEP is that Leon Trotsky is a possible HoS for Mexico.

I'm starting the download just because of that.

Comment: The sexxileaders 5.0 thing makes Goring look less... interesting.

It's difficult, but possible. Victoria is difficult to master, but after you get the hang of the most important mechanics it can be a lot of fun. The sheer breadth of statistical information to work with is simply awesome.

I actually managed that once as Germany, and killed all Poles, Danes, Latvians, Lithuanians, Estonians, Belorussians, Czechs, Slovaks, and half of the Swedes, French, Belgians and Dutch, Germanifying their lands afterwards. Needless to say it was much fun. IIRC South Africa (I Mean, the entire southern half of Africa) was a majority German too.

I've probably spent days playing Victoria, and run genocides in alot of other places too. I fully Yankified North America (Canada, US, Mexico, Central America and Carribean) and made some inroads in Japanifying Korea and China in another game (The populations there take too long to do it anywhere near fully).

Oh, and I also made all of South Africa boer once, with a population of over 40 million. I fully recommend the game for the demographic mayhem you can inflict on the world.

Wierdest demographic thing, done by the AI, was when Italy continued its war against the Papal States into Ecuador. Got the coastal province and then somehow they got into a war with Colombia that netted them the northern area, including Panama.

And all those colonies, by 1900, had or were approaching majority North Italian. Strangely fitting with a Confederate victory getting rid of the Monroe Doctrine.

On a random note and in response to North King's snow-boasting from some 8 months ago, the streets over here are this close to actually becoming snow-free, especially now that rain has finally replaced snow. Still, some piles still remain in the parks and such.

There's still at least one to two feet on the ground here. The streets are clear.

Hey, anyone have good tips for HOI 1?

I bought the platinum edition for $6, better than shelling out 6 times that for HOI 2 :p

I was thinking of it as a reference, instead of my corny background.

That's the point. I am changing my time line due to the difference in stats.
