While We Wait: Part 4

JalNES II is open and ready for postage.

Well, right now we have a bumper crop of fresh starts, while the alternate history lies dead by the wayside.
Hey, man, trying to start a new project, write quiz bowl questions for money, get my wisdom teeth out, and beat every imperial campaign on all of the good RTW mods takes time! :p For example, this is the first time I'm getting on ma laptop today, because I was asleep most of the time, because I had the aforementioned wisdom teeth pulled this morning.

And Vicodin sucks. It doesn't work on me too well.

Joining.

Nobody should have liked DBZ after The Longest Five Minutes Ever. Only one thing could've redeemed the show after that.

Thankyou, that video is pure awesomeness. I would agree, that is how all anime should be :D I was inspired to download the original F-Zero game :)

I also came across the '9000' (power level) video

Then again I guess we could continue.

I propose an in-depth discussion on DragonballZ, the good bits, which may exclude most of the Majin Buu saga. With such varied topics as, how much Ki would various NESers have if they were DBZ characters, and what would their special attacks be?

Observing with intent!

Urgh. Orders for Birdnes are due when? I was under the assumption they were due on the 29th, but I just checked the threads and they say they were due the 21st. Anyone know?

I would recommend Sekai, as an excellent fantasy NES that's just starting off.
Mmkay. Thanks.

Pre-ChaNES is also just waiting on me to finish the update, with plenty of spots to take, if you're still interested.
You might like Chandrasekhar's sci-fi NES, which is currently pre-ChaNES I.
:rotfl: That's taking a hilariously long time, seeing as I recall drifting out around the time preparations started.

Stop trying to one-up Thlayli, Chand. ;)

Seeing as the update is still(?) in the process of being written I think Thlayli wins.

EDIT: Diablo 3 looks lame, stupid Blizzard and their WoW artstyle. Bastards.

Empirical evidence suggests Lone Wolves gets really ugly right around SL33, in large part because the matchmaking system becomes a total bastard. Playing with the night crowd probably doesn't help, but still.

I gave up on lone wolves a long time ago. I'm more of a team player. I'm used to people watching my back and stuff. That or I'll take on someone in Head-to-Head. I don't like being snuck up on while focusing on someone.

I got my highest skill in doubles. It took a while, but I got to 35.

I got kind of fed up when it threw this at me:

Crazy King - 6/28/2008 5:39:39 AM - Snowbound - Lone Wolves - 4th
Crazy King - 6/28/2008 5:32:56 AM - Guardian - Lone Wolves - 5th
Crazy King - 6/28/2008 5:24:14 AM - Epitaph - Lone Wolves - 2nd
Crazy King - 6/28/2008 5:16:09 AM - Epitaph - Lone Wolves - 2nd

It then steadfastly refused to ever conjure Crazy King again for the next five hours. On the other hand, I've gotten pretty rockin' at being a jerk in Oddball.

Oddball is pretty fun. Ninjaball is my favorite variant of it. I love the speed boost it gives you when you are holding the ball. it makes all the more awesome when you dodge peoples' shots and then smack them in the face with the ball.

But I despise Cravy King. It's pure evil.

"Hey guys, let's all stand in a small area trying to kill each other!"

"That sounds fun!"

Never was big on the ranking system in Halo 3. I did get to like 28 on team slayer and 24 on doubles though.

Yeah, 33 sounds about right. Up 'till then, it was a cakewalk increasing my rank, but after that, the foes started getting regularly competent.

Oddball is quite fun, yes. I much prefer the objective type Lone Wolves games to the Slayer ones. Taking the metaphorical form of a prostitute is much easier when all you have to do is sit in a corner/on a ledge with your favorite shotgun/rocket launcher and blast those that walk by - this isn't a good thing.

I prefer team games, too, but when ranking up, I find it helps to rely on no skills but your own. ;) My 44 in Lone Wolves is not due to being "stuck," but to having no chance to play since reaching there. It's slow going, compared to the way it was before, but still relatively fast.
