While We Wait: Part 4

EU Rapid Reaction Force, need I say more about the EU's capabilities as a military organization.

Yes, because I do not know what it is and would like to hear a differing opinion from Wiki.

Several. One of them has marks all over her arms from where she continually cuts herself sideways. I ignore that pointedly, I think she's stopped since because she's not getting any attention.

She's taken to posting pictures of her ass on facebook instead.

Good to know that you know several, but I'm just pointing out that I know more popfolk that cut themselves, for attention that is.

That is a good point though, but a rather random question, why do I then know so many emos who simply enjoy being emotional, not cutting themselves or seeking attention? [confused]

Exactly. Mental people do what emo's do.

Except that I wouldn't state that the emo concept is about being mental, it's rather about being in contact with your emotions. I do agree though that the insane people shouldn't be the way they are, but they shouldn't be qualified as emos nonetheless.

I don't mind the fact that their abnormal. I find that the concept of normalacy is very weak anyway.

Agreed.

I mind the fact that emo's or the vast majority of them are pseudo-depressed-attention seeking-wannabe suicidal-losers. And their music sux balls.

Perhaps. But I also think that the vast majority of emos are kiddos - teens seeking attention - which might aswell lead us to the cutting. You could say that the followers of a way shapes the way, but I just don't think so. I think that the original way is unshapable, but that the followers can use the way to found their own way. Therefore I think that being emo has been brutally beaten with a teenage stick.

It sounded rather cultish, but I don't know how to express myself in English in another way. :(

On another note, I'm curious about the music, I never heard 'true' emo music. I've heard screamo, of which 92% is crap, and more popular or rocky bands like Panic at the Disco and My Chemical Romance. But they aren't emo, I'm told.

In other news: USE THE IRC CHATROOM. IT'S GOOD FOR YOUR SOUL.

More specifically, feel free to USE THE IRC CHATROOM right now, as there are people there. Wow.

It is awesome and I want the source code if its not closed source thank you very much.

COMPLAINT: The bombs recharge every "round" and not once the bombs go boom. I'm not sure how the original game went, but the other variation I played had a "max bombs at a time" instead of "bombs per round."

@flyingchicken, I am very sorry for that unfortunate glitch in the matrix... The code was supposed to limit towers to 8 middle segments during randomisation, but I had a closer look and it seems they can actually be any height :(

Thanks very much for playing, and for the picture!!!

Here is the main code file, it is not compile-able on its own since it needs a whole load of other stuff. Its very big, messy, inefficient, and at least 50% is redundant or not actually relevant to this Blitz game. Parts of it date back to 2004, or earlier. If this file has any use and/or makes any sense to you, I will see if I can get a useable workspace together in a small enough package for me to upload. I'm using microsofty visual studio 5.

I just used the 'chat' link at the top of the page here in CFC and replaced 'civfanatics' with '#NES'. Lotta people in there. And by 'lotta' I mean like six.

Well, that was fun. Kinda amusing that it started when I was complaining to NK via AIM that nobody was on IRC.

It needed more cowbell.

You have my approval for doing the #nes chatroom. I want to chat there again soon.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.

Basically, Europe doesn't have a coherent military organization outside of NATO. Hence the EU RRF--which was an abysmal failure.

Europe can only use soft diplomacy, and given that nobody in the region is inclined to listen or care, it’s rather impotent, heck as an organization it’s rather impotent on the world stage. Russia can play hard ball like it already has in the Baltic States, taking down Estonia's servers for a while for a little incident in Tallinn, and stopping the supply of Gas to some of the Eastern European states, one can gauge Europe’s ability to actually stand up to someone by the carefuly measured words out of Brussels (hot air). The attacks on Estonia were state sponsored (they originated out of Russian government servers) and all Brussels did was protest, not even convincingly and make some very vague promises to send in specialists...

In terms of Europe’s international pull, you can look at Zimbabwe, sure there is an in principle power sharing agreement between ZANU-PF and Mr Tsangari's lot, and if that actually goes ahead the opposition is of course going to be co-opted by the Regime with some rather useless Ministry positions ala Kenya. Mugabe (who by this stage is really just the figurehead, the chiefs of the army, navy, airforce and police control the ration cards and the rations and decided I’m guessing to allow an increasingly deranged leader to keep his “position”). It’s a genius idea, it appease the Westerners (most of us) and keeps a government of pernicious ****’s in power.

And Symphony D. don’t be so negative about the RRF, it still exists on paper :p

I didn't say it was a total failure, just an abysmal one. ;)

Well it does have it's EU BGs for each region of Europe.
