I find it awesome that the NES forum has exceeded most of the Civ 3 subforums when it comes to post count. Hopefully i'll live to see the day that we pass up the civ 4 subforums. However, I think hell will freeze over before we get anywhere near OT when it comes to post count.

Civ III only has one subforum on us; CIV has two. Not a huge advantage, there. Though modding and customization forums are really ginormous in general.

And no, nobody will ever pass the OT. Most major Internet forums have an OT that's at the very least the largest section of the site, if not larger than the remainder put together.

Even if we automated spamming bots, we would never surpass the OT. And if we did, it would only be for about ten minutes before the mods delete our posts/servers crash.

I think that the NES forum will outlast all of the other forums. Because in the end games become old and there are probably better places to hold general discussions. But there is only one place that NESes thrive. Here. (Apolyton doesn't count. )

However, you recently posted in the End of Empires thread, which leads me to believe you are following it for some reason. I also think that if you are indeed in a different cradle or area in the world, I'd guess that you are far off to the east, seeing as how there are fewer notable powers there and plenty of unexplored land and ocean.

Or I could be bored at the lack of fruitful discussion in the World History forum, tired of bashing my head against ultranationalist Poles in the OT, and taking a brief break from the alternate history installment that will - God willing - be finished early in the morning on Veterans'/Armistice Day. I do peek into other threads from time to time, you know.

Spartans, but with one caveat. It has to be the reformed Spartan syntagma that Kleomenes III adopted. If the Aztec supporters can pick and choose what parts of their military they use, I sure as hell can.

So long as there's interesting stuff going on in here. It'd be a lot better if das were writing an althist or modding. As it is, he's creating ridiculously high expectations for IANES when it comes out, right after Duke Nukem Forever does.
