Well, I think we had interesting debates in the other WWW thread. What I personally consider a difference between that thread and OT is that WWW is that WWW doesn't have the first page of discussion of a topic as puns posted by spammers.

But I hope to continue the trend of being nice in here, and the news with Abaddon was excellent as well. I am happy that everything is like this.

Regarding OT, what are the rules of engagement for making a NESer-related OT thread, actually in the OT forum? Not another WWW, but a place for free-flowing discussion about NESing, NESers personally, and the universe in general, without worrying about keeping things correctly categorized (which is hard considering we've already touched upon just about all the workings of the universe)?

I accuse you, Sir, of being deliberately unhelpful. The thread has just been given a chance to move forward in reformed and legitimate mode. We've all been made painfully aware of the forum rules recently, whether we like it or not, and the moderator's stance is clear. I think we can trust people to either respect the new order (really, the end of unusual toleration) and/or find alternate expression in OT or the new off-site location(s).

Personally, I'm pleased that WWW is no longer a point of contention. Let's hope things are now resolved permanently, and once Abaddon gets back, we can move on with mutual respect and dignity.

It is not for topics that rightfully belong in OT. It is not going to be tightrope either. You all know when you go too far outside the lines.

I'm here most days and will read every post and I'd much rather be working on my game than chasing after you. To begin if your posts get out of line, I'll delete them. If you are habitual in your waywardness, I will do more.

I agree with Bird, though i would rather see the thread closed, if it can simply be OOC NESing then that would be fine IMO, since that is pretty much what it intended to be.

I'll just say this. I am hopeful, but doubtful.

And yes, greece pulled out of the Berlin Alliance. The update 2 was misleading Banana, i think. It said you were distancing yourself from the Berlin Alliance, not straight up leaving, thats why I was confused at least.

Regarding ABNW 2, what is up with Denmark's sudden switch of standards? It's only been fourty years since the intense anti-Swedish standard in Denmark, and the huge national decline that made Denmark oriented against Scandinavia didn't happen in ABNW - instead, Denmark grew.

OOC NESing and questions/suggestions that don't seem quite refined enough to fall into the Development thread seem like they best fit here. I believe that was the original intent of these threads, it just kind of degenerated....I'll admit I was part of that even. With some good and watchful mods maybe it will actually stay that way. Of course the random good nature NES jokes fall into here as well I would think.

WWW was originally created to keep the actual NES threads from being clogged. We all remember the epic flame/spam wars of the past.

Glad it's back to serving a legitimate purpose.
