As an aside, I do feel that discussions by NESers about religion and politics and culture would be more interesting than those often found in OT.
You know absolutely nothing.
What I would suggest is that when you play a game you bring your religious/political and cultural beliefs into the game and create nations that are strange and interesting. You can fight your ideological battles in a game rather than in a discussion that will most likely go nowhere.
Oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god, no. Not emphatic enough. NO. Do not play countries to express real world political beliefs; there are so many things wrong with this that I don't know where to start.

I propose that, since the issue cannot be talked here, the relevant posts be transferred to a new thread in the Chamber. It doesn't have any real user traffic so the discussion can easily proceed undisturbed by OTers for some time.
LoE, I beleive that your position is not true. China and the Islamic World do not have a tradition of democracy and do not need it. The West, in order to hide it's imperialism, says that it wants to export democracy and has been very good in spreading propaganda that democracy is a global concept, when it is a Western one and a foreign to China and the Islamic World.

So the OT is like IOT, except even more foreign?
Interesting.
Terrance, OT is a very weird alternate dimension in which all debate is stifled by various over-arching and supreme forum personalities (those of you who frequent OT know who I am talking about) that monopolize threads and discussions. It is a silly place.
