Till hasn't been on the forum since August, but I sent him a PM regardless. I hope he's alright. If the server doesn't go back up, we'll have to find an alternate IRC server in which we may host our chat.

Indeed. The server that hosted #fifty, #nes and #neverending is down. I'm looking at some quakenet servers right now- #nes is unused, but I'm trying to figure out if I can register a room with them.

Started up a backup #nes in a quiet little backwater server called irc.newnet.net. Connect in the same old way, chat's name is #nes.

QuakeNET's not great in my opinion. Lots of people and some bureaucracy you need to jump through to register a room. UnderNET is unbelievably worse and many of the old standby's have long since died.

EDIT: But they succeeded on the third try. I've registered, and will set out to getting the server up to full working order.

I gave up, this is the 4th and 5th round I've tried to connect, once it reaches 2 minute waits I tend to manually cancel the connection.

Hmm, that's frustrating. I am not sure why that's happening. Apparently a few other people are also having trouble connecting to this server, for some reason.
