I'm disturbed by the implications of Red Letter Media's Wheel of the Worst #5:

Seems suspect; the Aya'se really being more libertarian than the orgy that is Cyve?

Libertarians who were disappointed that "always" wasn't an option for "should the death penalty be used for serious crimes". It's a weighting thing I'm sure.

A bit late to the party

I really like how some of his papers are stream of consciousness. And how they're not really papers at all.

@Daft

Doesn't really matter to me, I like a lot of different music, but I do have a soft spot for a lot of instrumental stuff like the song that I posted and electrical music, but I can't really pigeonhole a lot of my tastes. Feel free to point me in the direction of some more music though if you don't mind. :)

Hi guys, I'm back.

symph I request a hot take on Edge of Tomorrow

An attempt at lore development :
I am good at writing up stuff............

Spoiler :
A bright shimmering speck of light among a sea of darkness. The light however, was so strong that darkness began to subside. The darkness tried to stop the light from spreading its realms even further. A war ensued between things that were elemental, as was the rule of nature.
And then after several millennia, darkness realized that it was futile to carry on this any further, and surrendered. It was then, that our world was created with the powers of both the dark and the light. While darkness created us, our the light gave us our souls.
The light knew that there had to be Guardians, Malāʾikah, for the world and his creations, since the dark elements within us, would one day consume us. The light distributed its power to create the 7 guardians to look after us, his children. The Malāʾikah were to guard us from any harm internal, external or otherwise,to guide man to greater heights.

The 7 Guardians were : Ludemar, Hazin, Jise, Kor, Vagy, Iqdar, Gyhbus

The guardians while roaming on the surface of the Earth, have had children out of wombs of humans. While not guardians, each of these spawns of the guardians were to excel in their own life, living off the land as mere humans and procreating, thus giving rise to more of the demi-guardians, and each of these demi-guardians and their bloodline had that something 'special'.

Yet, as time passed, the darkness grew among the humankind. The ways as advised by our father were forgotten, as men and women descended into its most heretical ways. A time of darkness was upon us.

The Guardians, passive for millennia, gathered, and some of them, decided that the all the heretics must be purged. Some of the more sympathetic ones protested against this, like Hazin, who proposed that the sinners be allowed to live but at a great cost, which was promptly turned down and the great war ensued amongst the brothers now purists, lead by Ludemer, and moderates, lead by Hazin. This event came to be known a the Hazin Heresy.

One of the notable exceptions was Jise, the trickster, whose only idea was that the mortals should have the option of making their own choices, for faith, according to him, was but a personal choice, and thus remained passive as blood of the innocents washed the hands of those, who were once sworn to protect the very beings that they were killing.

Several centuries passed as the heavenly bodies clashed, and yet there was no clear solutions. Mortals, inspired by the Guardians of choice, fought among each other, and fell like flies. The Demi Guardians, now several thousands were not as lucky, for several thousands of them also fell in the battles. Then one day, Kor, tricked and captured Hazin, the rebel, thus ending the century old Hazin Heresy.

The purists took control of the skies and the rebels were cast deep underground, into the pits of Gyehenna. The pits did something very ugly to these ex-guardians. They become “spirits”, losing their physical existence, but spirits that still had enormous power. And the Gates of Gyehenna was guarded by the “Mist” a forsaken cloud of nothingness that wouldn’t let spirits to cross its realms. The pits of Gyehenna, were now residence to thousands of very angry, souls, who had fought for the humankind and lost. Naturally, they blamed the “purists” and the humankind for their such despicable condition. They vowed revenge, on the realm of earth and the one beyond, the abode of the "Pure" Guardians.

But, how were these mere spirits to take revenge ? Hazin, the leader of the Fallen Guardians, exposed to the others that there were other realms as well, that contained untold mysteries. Maybe one such might give them the ability to assume a physical entity, to cross the Mist and onwards to the other realms.

Work in progress ...

EDIT : Criticisms & Advice welcome. Would love to have some tips as to how to take this forward.

I've read it and skimmed the abstracts for his papers. :3
