I wouldn't be worried, das usually disappears like this for a day after posting the updates. Waiting for the dust to settle I guess. Only this time he missed something, but he doesn't know yet...
For the record, anyone who thought China had a chance of surviving is wrong. China goes under this update, believe me, I wrote the orders for it to do so. Or at least, half of them. The other half relies on Contempt adequately supplying an unopposed campaign. Regardless, I have some tricks up my sleeve for after I get conquered. Because who says that ends the war?

There's a new modern NES by Sheep.
You might want to try my alhistorical NES set in the year 730 AD (link in sig). It updates every week, and all you really have to read to know what's going on is the introduction, the rules, and the last update. All of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East in the NES are in the middle of a massive two on two religious war, and in Asia, Mongolia is climbing to power, having just destroyed China, so I doubt the NES will get boring anytime soon.
One NPC nation you could take is Srivijava (a quiet nation on Sumatra that could be interesting to build up). There are many other NPCs to choose from, but they all come with various strings attached, which you might or might not want to deal with.

I would agree, join INES. Sheep's will likely be a very involved NES, and for someone who hasn't NESed in a while it might be a good idea to shy away from tht one. On another note, I will shamelessly advertise that you watch my NES, the first update should come late on Saturday.

EDIT: I am in Imago's NES (Delhi); it is a pretty good one and worth considering.

Having read Genesis 3.19, I must say that Jal's update doesn't look that ominous... Unless I have a different version of the Bible than he. Or maybe I just don't find death that exciting.
