I disagree with every sentence of this post, but I appreciate your thoughts.

am known for talking too big at unwarranted situations but allow me to stand by them. ı don't know what may come in the future but the comics are currently drawing a canvas on why Yoda was the very undisputed master of all Jedis in all. He was the one to bring the Sith down but let's say he saw he was defeated in the Senate Hall, for he should have gone to Mustafar himself and solved the Anakin question for good. Because he was far too gone before he was even burned to a good crisp.

...if Anakin doesn't show up there (and disregarding the idea that Palpatine foresaw Anakin showing up so it doesn't matter), Palpatine probably ends up a dead man. He has no lightsaber at this point and is now wounded. In terms of strictly "who wins a lightsaber duel and nothing else" it's probably Windu. Sadly for him, there's more to it than that.

lightsabers are over-rated. Didn't we all see how extremely helpless Windu was in blocking the force lightning ? If no anakin to cut the sword hand , there are always chairs in Palpatine's office . Vader pummeling Luke on Bespin was so unmanly , man !
