Who would you bring back from history?

Getting back to the growing list of returnees: how about Rameses II? A pharoah in these troubled times would be interesting.

True, but think of the reduced anarchy and tourist income from the Kansas pyramid.

I thought it's generally accepted corvée labour (i.e. tax payments during the flood) was what built the pyramids, not slavery. :S

Yep. But you don't seem to understand that anything can be fixed by applying the right number of slaves to the problem!

Particularly Hebrew slaves, it seems.

With that concentration of Hebrews, I'm surprised Egypt didn't explode into the Industrial Revolution there and then. China didn't have Jews... maybe that explains something :p

To be perfectly honest: Hitler. I would want to ask him about stuff, and also what he's thinking about the state of today's world.
A black man is the allegedly mightiest man in the world, the Jews have their own mighty army, millions of Turks and other non-germanic people dwelling in Germany, his fans and admirers of today, a.k.a. the Neo-Nazis throughout the globe etc.

"The Jews" don't have an army. Israel does, but Israel is not "the Jews"!

I'm not sure that Hitler's opinion would be worth a great deal. He wasn't exactly the most perceptive analyst of his own times, so I doubt he'd have much of value to say about today - although I suppose it would be satisfying to confront him with his own vilification.

Yeah, sorry, my mistake.

It wouldn't satisfy me though to confront him with his personal nightmare coming true, but it would answer some of my question regarding WW2, his view about human races and eugenics, what he was thinking about ******* up Germany and Europe as a whole and so on. And it would be interesting too to see if he would show some repentance after hearing the consequences of his actions.

Who would I bring back? Maybe Thomas Jefferson. Not for any reason. Just for the reason that I had a dream where we were hanging out.

Good enough for me! Chillin' with Tom J.

Beware the dark side, you must...

Why has nobody wanted someone who was just a really nice/cool guy? Like Douglas Adams?

Why hang out with cool, when you can hang out with awesome?

Yeah, but who would want Napoleon in charge? He would start WWIII. SAme for all great military heads of state
Most truly great military heads of state got there by knowing when to fight as much as how. They're not going to start WWIII unless they think they can win. Although Napoleon has something of a track record in that regard.
