Why Batwoman Can't Get Married

The length is kinda inconvenient most of the time, tbh.

"So do you guys want to talk about how this Batwoman thing relates to the gay marriage debate?"
"Nah, we'd rather talk about sister-shagging."
"..."
"At excruciating length, if possible."
My fault for mentioning the time Robin shagged his sister in DC comics. If you like, I can mention the brutal rapes committed by Dr Light?

Don't forget when Alan Moore discussed his plans with Len Wein to have the Joker paralyze Barbara Gordon, to which Wein replied, "Yeah, cripple the (female dog)".

Stay classy, DC.

Until Batman gets a sex change this isn't even remotely amusing. Lesbian marriage is so 2000late.

If incestuous marriage becomes legal, that won't be a Get Out Of Jail Free Card for rapist fathers. It's still against the law to rape even if it is your spouse. That's the same sort of nonsense that anti-marijuana activists use.

"We can't possibly legalize marijuana, it's so dangerous to drive while high!" which is why it'd still be illegal to drive and smoke.

Sorry if that's off topic, but legalizing a father's marriage to his daughter doesn't allow him to legally abuse her.

Then they should go out and get the Runaways vol 2 TPB where Karolina and Xavin get married.

Which Marvel printed like 8 yrs ago. So way to stay current DC.

You're expecting DC to keep up with the rest of society and publishing? The company is a joke, and has been for a long time.

Less so than your average ivory tower apparently.
Yeah, I had to kill a lot of elephants to build this tower, and since the government is against that sort of thing I had to build it in a pretty isolated area. You got me. Your skill at taking a single post out of an extended conversation and posting it out of context is something we tower-folk don't face often. We may have to eat your brain to gain your wisdom.

Wait, so the Orson Scott Card Adventures of Superman is happening? I thought it had been cancelled. Card is a bit of an ass, but he's a skilled writer and well-suited to Superman, who's basically my favorite character. I'm really looking forward to this.

How does the "extended conversation" change the very unambiguous nature of your comment regarding "the farm"?

And how - in your view - is this reaction of yours supposed to put you back onto the supposed moral high ground that you apparently believed you had firmly under your feet before?

This must come as a disappointment to the millions of boys who wanted to read a comic book about a lesbian's marriage.

It also comes as a disappointment to the lesbians who wanted to read a comic book about a lesbian's marriage.

Because, y'know. Seeing yourself in media where you are not the butt of the joke is kinda nice sometimes.

It's hard to formulate an argument against something you have imagined. My comment to Farm Boy was clearly a joke, as I am well-aware his farm is not isolated at all. Nor did I claim, or seek to claim, any "moral high ground," ever, in regards to my discussion with him.

Notable gay superheroine Batwoman's proposal to her girlfriend and subsequent marriage has been banned by comic book publisher DC. The creative team has walked out in protest over this and other decisions.

This may be related to Orson Scott Card's upcoming (presumably) run on Superman.

Link.
That would imply DC editorial knows their elbow from their anus. They can't get books to coordinate for basic plots, never mind some sort of social agenda.

Then wouldn't they rather have a character that wasn't a transparent joke that only existed to check a few boxes on the diversity checklist?
