Why did god create...

Darkess is the absence of light, not the opposite of it.
Silence is the absence of noise, not the opposite of it.
Black is the absence of colour, not the opposite of it.
Evil is the absence of good, not the opposite of it.

One cannot create an absence of something.

so it is a good deed if i dont kill a random passerby?

in relation? you said evil is the absence of good, so not doing evil must be a good deed per se.

That's like saying that blue is lighter than navy, so it must be just as light as sky blue.

We live in an imperfect world--God's kingdom doesn't have those problems, but earthly life does and has since the fall of man.

Why is God's kingdom so much better? If there exists a world without any such problems like suffering, and it can work perfectly fine, why didn't He put us in it in the first place (the problem of "boredom" or what have you is gone... since most people will go to that perfect place when they die anyways)?

Why all this unnecessary jumping through hoops? And if our life does have infinite repercussions, why does God not just skip to the point, read our future, and put us directly in heaven or hell (after all, it's not like a slight bit of suffering or whatever will happen in this life will have any use when it comes to either eternal life in a perfect place or eternal torment)? Is our universe a whole exercise in pointless redundancy?

anyway, I dont know who or what is responsible for the universe but I sure dont think we're the focus of creation haha.

i refuse to repent if i steal a lollipop from a huge supermarket. this is no crime for me... and that should make me worse than a murderer?

The stealing is just a symptom of a root sin nature. That's why we need repentance. It isn't what we do, it's what we are.

(God himself is probably bored out of his ass right now)

But when He is bored, he gets to go demon hunting. The rest of us aren't nearly as lucky :(.

But seriously, is it impossible for both sides to have a civil discussion?

Most people aren't going to Heaven. Unfortunately most people have not accepted Jesus Christ. Also, the importance of Free Will and how can we know perfection if that is all we know?

To your second paragraph, as far as my knowledge goes, that is basically the Jewish doctrine, except you still have to go through life on earth to spread the Word and rejoice and His creation. And no.

Surely there's no point in living a life of merely ~80 some years, when an eternity of either perfect life or torment awaits you. Certainly you could choose right there and then, or God could just look into your future with his omnipotence and cut to the chase. My last question was rhetorical.

My issue is that if God is capable of creating a world (or state of being whatever) where everyone is happy or it's just perfect with no problem, such as heaven, why didn't he create that world in the first place so nobody would have to deal with evil and sin?

As to the Jewish doctrine, that's fascinating! :)

He's been doing that for six thousand years now. BORING. The best I was able to do was Total Annihilation--managed to stay interested in that for ten years.
