What exactly has she done to engender so much animosity? I really find it amazing. All I know about her is she ran a failed attempt to get national health care and she was married to a popular and successful President who cheated on her and lied about it in a civil deposition. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her speak and she is never on the news shows that I see. Her stated political positions that I know of are well within the mainstream of the democratic party somewhat to the conservative side but in any case are held by many other public figures. She seems to move her positions a bit in a self serving manner but she is a politician for god sake, she is no worse than say Romney who has completely remade himself for the Repub primary. So what is it? I must assume there is some aspect is sexism in this.

She has opposed video games over the years. I have lost my will to vote for her due to her numerous attacks against the video gaming industry and video game players.

She plays/has played both sides of the political field to garner support. That seems fairly hypocritical to me.

Unlike what other politican? And in what positions exactly.

She strikes me as extremely obnoxious.

I don't hate her but then I'm English. And encouraging an NHS sounds like a pretty good idea to me, so like if Arnie does it it's ok?:)

How did you decide this. I have rarely seen her speak publically and know very little about her. I don;t doubt that she is but I find almost all politicans obnoxious. McCain, Liberman, and Bidden are my top 3 but then they are always preening on the news shows. I never see Hillary.

Naked ambition. She's a carpetbagger who ran to New York as soon as she saw an opening for a liberal senator. And she stood by her cheating man in her pursuit of power when any other self-respecting woman would have left. And generally, most Americans aren't as Liberal as she.

OK let's take these 1 at a time.

Ambition: Name me a presidential contender that doesn't have ambition. Strong or naked ambition even.

Crapetbagger: Why does this matter to you? If the laws of NY allow it and the people elect her so what, that is democracy.

Stood by husband: Well there are a lot of cheating husbands in this country and many wives stand by them. I assume you also hate Gingrich and Guiliani who cheated on there wives or are only the women worthy of your scorn as opposed to the adulterous men.

Too liberal: I would bet that the majority of the country is in line with her positions or to the left of them. You must hate America.

And anyway in French politics if you don't have a mistress it's considered unusual :) Different strokes, Paddy "pants down" Ashdown the x leader of the liberals actually went up in the polls after he was found messing with another woman.

On a forum devoted to a video game, I don't expect a video game hater to be too popular.

But it is the conservatives who hate her and the video game sex violence thing is a religions conservative issue. BTW civ is not considered a violent video game.

Civ itself may not be a violent video game, but I suspect that due to the extremely high percentage here who play video game, a fair few will play violent video games. Very few of us here are not gamers, and so I suspect more than a few of us play violent video games.

As an outsider looking in....
You may see her as energetic, ambitious and organized. I see her as angry, tempermental, cold, calculating and unlikeable.

She's got an image problem. Gore, Obama and Edwards dont' have this problem. They are acting more presidential versus her overt hostility towards them (Obama and Edwards).

Moderates (who will win the next election for someone) fear she's remained too culturally divisive and votes what the opinion polls tell her to do, liberals can't stand her centrist positioning and the right just doesn't like her. It's the worst of all worlds.

Everything she does to halt her ideology problem compounds her character problem. What she says about the issues may sound popular but what the issues say about her is she's a shameless self-promoter.

A nickel says she could turn it into the AntiChrist if she really wanted to.

Hillary has an air of arrogance and false sincerity about her. Like the villian in a video game, o the villian's sidekick who turns out to be the real villian.

Voters want candidates who at least seem to possess a spirit of public service. Hillary doesn't have such an image.

Crapetbagger: Why does this matter to you? If the laws of NY allow it and the people elect her so what, that is democracy.

It's well within her rights, but again, it just stinks of naked ambition when someone runs to a state where he/she has no prior affiliation or knowledge. Couldn't she serve the people of Arkansas or Illinois (where she grew up) or Massachusetts (where she went to school) better than some random state where she's never lived? The carpetbagger label is significant.

Stood by husband: Well there are a lot of cheating husbands in this country and many wives stand by them. I assume you also hate Gingrich and Guiliani who cheated on there wives or are only the women worthy of your scorn as opposed to the adulterous men.

The sins of men who cheat on their wives are not insignificant, but are expected. Gennifer Flowers didn't stop Bill from getting elected. People expect men to be dogs. But women especially find it hypocritical for a feminist like Hillary to stand by her man when he humiliates her time and time again.

Too liberal: I would bet that the majority of the country is in line with her positions or to the left of them. You must hate America.

Unlikely. More Americans identify themselves as conservative than as liberal. You must be thinking of France.

I agree with your analysis and I must say that I think this is pure sexism. Name the incident(s) where she has displayed an angry tempermental behavior and I will find you a male politican who has done the same and not gotten this label. Again with cold and calculating. People throw out these characterizations with no example of the behaviors that warrent them. And if you do have examples I suspect they are no different than all other politicans. We just don;t like them in women.

What? What percentage of the population is old geezers may i ask?

America has always been about new ideas and changes. We have changed so much since we started, so conservatism is a false label anyway IMO.

She is a Dem with standard/right dem positions on the main issuse of the day. When polled the public invariably supports those positions by large margins. The labels are just political tools.
