Why do people hate Hillary Clinton?

You know what pisses me off about her? Her fake southern accent during some recent speech. Because of that, she's just a fraud. I expect Bush to pander to his audience, because he's a moron, but I expected Hillary to be above that.

I'm a bit surprised, I though marriage and forgiveness were held in a higher respect?

I'm surprised to hear a lot of that, too; I figured it's just another reason after people already decide they don't like her...

I think there are lots of reasons to not like her...but "not leaving Bill" is by *far* the worst. Who are we to judge the strength of somebody else's relationship? Certainly, given who is running for the Republicans, NO conservative as any room to talk about "family values" and "strong marriages", unless you happen to be Mitt Romney.

Because she is a strong, independent female who challenges the notion that many people (both republicans and democrats) still carry on today, which is that males are inherantly superior over women.

And generally, most Americans aren't as Liberal as she.

Not in the case of infidelity. I don't think a woman has respect for herself if she lets her husband cheat on her, or a man respect for himself if he lets his wife cheat on him.

It may be a marriage of conveniance, in which case, I still am not going to say that is the type of person I want making decisions for me. I have no respect for people like that.

All I know about her is she ran a failed attempt to get national health care and she was married to a popular and successful President who cheated on her and lied about it in a civil deposition. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her speak and she is never on the news shows that I see. Her stated political positions that I know of are well within the mainstream of the democratic party somewhat to the conservative side but in any case are held by many other public figures. She seems to move her positions a bit in a self serving manner but she is a politician for god sake, she is no better than say Romney who has completely remade himself for the Repub primary. So what is it? I must assume there is some aspect is sexism in this.

There is just something about Hilary that makes me not like her. I'm from Jersey, and we get New York news here, so I suppose I hear her talk publically a bit more than most.

It's not just what she says but HOW that really upsets me. I suppose it's ridiculous, but from her facial expressions to her choice of words, connotations and even tone of voice, I just find her to be completely not genuine. This is not only political, but when she's on talk/morning shows, or makes a public appearance for almost any reason she just seems so rehearsed, and not passionate. I find it hard to believe she really cares about ANYTHING, let alone the 'flavor of the day' political move.

Bill had TONS of emotion. I'd seen him angry, happy, even upset. Bush is the same, in his own way. He really loves oil, no doubt about that. Hilary though, seems so robotic sometimes. You just CAN'T combine that with flip-flopping AND hating video games and expect me to like you. Additionally, someone's love life (or lack there of) has NO bearing on thier ability (or lack there of) to run a country.

That is an absurd charge. It was standard politics. Demand an apology/distance self from a supporter that says nasty personal things about an opponent. My God McCain is the champion appology demand whore.

It was rediculous because it was a ferocious attack on Obama's character instead of a strong denouncement of Geffen's nastiness.

And it was kind of a bullfeathers move too, because basically Hillary asked Obama to submit to her superiority and stop trying to win the nomination. It was a pure power play, and done in such a vehement style that it showed if she is elected, she will not govern America but she will rule America.
