Why do the British hate peanut butter?

In the British and like peanut butter camp. Although I can't figure out why the locals here are so partial to mixing peanut butter and chocolate (reeses).

Yes. My mom made it with a celery stick, covered in peanut butter, and dotted with raisins (ants). Interesting combo.

I'll add to the stereotype by saying that this morning I had the choice of Peanut butter or Honey on toast, and I went for the honey.

Every Brit I know can't stand so much as the smell of the stuff, and it's always bugged me. What's up with that?

Maybe they are allergic, or its because its something they didnt invent?

I prefer my sandwiches to be peanut butter and honey.

Although strawberry jam with peanut butter is good, too.

I never really liked nutella, as I found it just too sweet. The peanut butter isn't as gaggingly sweet (but maybe that's why I put honey or jame on it!)
