Sadly, some people turn out pure evil no matter how well their parents raise them. I've had to watch that first hand.

What kind of man inspires confidence in protecting a little girl from his predator son crying in shame and begging her forgiveness.I invited my daughters friend over after and I personally apologized to her for her experiences, I cried in shame for my son’s behaviour and begged her forgiveness
I mean, I am pretty sure it's fake, but many comments are saying they know people like this in real life, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯What kind of man inspires confidence in protecting a little girl from his predator son crying in shame and begging her forgiveness.

Doesn't clear the base level "everything you read on the internet is true" bar, eh? It isn't for me.

Where it becomes troubling is that it could mislead our explorations for what kind of parenting and environment leads to real life incels. But the part about apologizing to the girl and crying and begging forgiveness, while being a nominally woke-enough dude on the surface, was the kind of parental narcissism that my bias would expect to be present in raising a broken kid like that.To take another comment from the post, even this particular story as written is fake, it's a real scenario somewhere, and thus important. Incels don't just appear fully formed from the void.
That to me is the genius of the story if it's fiction. There's so much validation seeking from the father it seeds a cause for the son.I don't think it's fake, it sounds so self-righteous and one sided it has to be true. This dad could not have protrayed himself better, he even went out of his way to apologize for his violence (which wasn't that bad) when his son was "attacking" him.
with what intention would someone write a fake story like this? to garnet hatred for incels? to get reddit gold? just for the lulz? I don't know, doesn't seem right to me. also, the part about the perfect boyfriend of his daughter kind of gets me. seems very unreal, like he intentionally left out any negative things. it's a compelling story is for sure.

Yeah the boy's father doesn't seem like much of a man. Anyone who says "We chalked it up to teenaged mood swings." when their kid is going thru problems isn't much of a parent. From the text

Bored people on the Internet do stuff for attention.I don't think it's fake, it sounds so self-righteous and one sided it has to be true.
