If I recall correctly, there's no Andorran euro coins. Spanish and French euro coins are used in Andorra. This being said, they were talking about issuing also Andorran coins just like San Marino, the Vatican City and Monaco already issues their specific coins. It's still a project and I've never seen any Andorran euro coins.bombshoo said:But it says Andorra on it
For many americans the Vatican must be some sort of sex-shop considering all those paintings with nude people.Jawz II said:isnt that kind of too erotic to be on a coin? i mean i dont care, i think its cool, but havent the church/right wing moral types in greece complained about this?
this could never be on an american coin!

Thanks for the link Xen. Though there's no boat on that Andorran coin but an eagle. The other face of the coin, the tail face that seems to be pictured on the right side, can't be legal.Xen said:
Eurocoins.co.uk said:Andorra uses the Euro, although it has not produced any euro coins of its own.
Before the advent of the euro, the Andorrans used either French or Spanish coins, and most shops would accept either currency. As France and Spain have now adopted the euro, the situation in Andorra has simplified, and Andorra simply uses euro coins and notes produced by any and all of the other member states of the EU. Although in the past there have been a number of Andorran commemorative coins issued, there appear to be no plans to issue euro coins. If the situation ever changes we will add Andorran euro coins to this page.
As at March 2003, we hear there were plans to make an unofficial set, but these are still at an early stage. We now expect these to available in October 2003. Please watch this page for further details and designs.

It's an old website. They didn't update informations since March 2003. I'll try to look forward to see if there's anything new about it.
That kind of thing is made for collectionners. I guess there's certainly a Historical reason (which I don't know) but it's certainly also because it looks cool.Xen said:thier is also still a question as to why they have a boat on one fo thier coin faces![]()
It's true the Italian set is cool, the Italian 1-euro coin is to me the most beautiful one. Incorporating the Man from Da Vinci in the circle from the coin is an awesome idea to me.Xen said:Personally, I would LOVE it if if they put the boat on thier to look cool. I might even be tempted to buy one if that was the case. (as a note, the countries with the currentlly most awesoem set of euros woudl be Italy and denmark- France had potential, but using the same peice of art work, while nice to look at, on all thier coinage loses points; most of the other euro using countries hold the same fate, only worse because they decorate it witht he face of the (current) monarch, which, while it makes sense, is harldey cool looking; Monaco, like France, as a very cool looking symbol, but since that single symbol is so widelly used, it looses points in my eyes.
That said, the ture "king of the Euro" is San Marino

Woaw, we almost imagine she has breast on that coin ! Well, it seems puritanism is stronger today in the US than it used to be at the beginning of the Nation !Quasar1011 said:The young American republic, circa 1795-1804, had a "lady liberty" draped bust half dollar, that showed a bit of cleavage.

In Revelation, the women riding the beast is a rather disturbing trademark of the rule of the anti-christ. However, this appears to be a 1 headed bull, not a multi-headed dragon.
And Classic Hero is from Australia, not America. Could we at least refrain from incessent USA bashing for a couple of pages?
Moderator Action: Get a thicker skin; there is absolutely no USA bashing in this thread, and certainly not in the posts above yours- Rik
Hey ! I was just following Jawz comment ! I'm not the one who told that coin would be a scandal in the United States, Jawz told so ! Why Jawz weren't anti-American and I was then ?Goonie said:C'mon, he has a point. I'm not American and I notice the snide little anti-american comments made by Marla. Whether or not I agree with her comments is irrelevant. While he may need thicker skin, do we really want to be calling him out for simply making a kind request? Perhaps you should have posted that as Rik and not a mod, since he didn't break any forum rules. The facted you 'rolleyed' him makes me question how deserving that comment was of mod tags.
Actually, if the main coins wouldn't have shown that eagle, the Germans may have rejected the Euro. We were so used to those on our beloved D-Mark, if they wouldn't have shown up on the Euro again, it wouldn't have been consider a currency at all.marla said:I like German coins except the 1 and 2-euro with the eagle. It looks imperialistic to me and totally out of today's German identity.

I also love all the Euro coins. They are so much fun!
