To all you Wii owners here....I heard the Wiimote can easily fly off your hands and break something, especially when playing WiiSports. There are all these stories of the Wiimote flying away because the strap broke and crashing into something.

No... not that I have heard of. If you tighten the wirst strap that comes with it, and wear it properly, you'll be fine.

I have had the remote slip out of my hands a couple times when I took a massive swing in baseball (which is completely unnecessary, the huge swing), but the wrist strap kept it from flying away.

Its not true. For most games to use the motion sensing thing on the remote you barely have to move it.

For the new legend of zelda game i just shake my remote a little to swing my sword instead of swinging the remote like i would a sword.

While I can't speak for everyone, I've never come even remotely close to having the Wii remote go flying across the room. Some of my younger family members (ages 8-15) were swinging the Wii remotes pretty hard when they were over for Thanksgiving, and nothing like that took place. I definitely recommend wearing the wriststrap in the strongest possible terms, but I seriously wonder what in the world people are doing to BREAK the darn thing. :crazyeye:

I don't doubt that some people have broken the wriststrap, but that's almost certainly far from the common experience.

The Wiimote fits wonderfully into your hand. In my full wiik of ownership thus far, I've not once had to worry about having it slip away from me in sports, or Twilight Princess.

I played it at my friends and found it to be very comfy, a wee bit unresponsive, but comfortable nonetheless.

You completely missed out on a great opportunity for a terrible pun there.

I actually thought about it, but then i thought nah, dont want to stink up the thread with cheese.

But the point of the Wiimote is to really get into the game. So letting go might seem natural to some.

Somehow tossing a wiiemote reminded me of this little comic that I encontered when browsing through some OS-tan galleries.
