I know you think this, but politics isn't about teams, and it isn't about winning.
Now if that statement isn't the epitome of irony I don't know what is.

What he means by this is that due to either his privilege or ignorance, he can treat politics solely as picking your team and deriving a sense of self worth from seeing it win. What do you mean by this?
when trump is president, then you will realizeIs there a point to this thread?

This perception in turn leads him to construct conspiracy theories to explain apparent losses to preserve this sense of self worth.
Ironic isn't it?
Only breitbart can break a story through wikileaks that was already known publically, as well as the fact that BOTH McCain and Obama had transition teams well before the election
The Obama-Biden transition project started ~10 weeks before the end of the election
How incredible of a breaking story is it for breitbart that Obama's transition team was planning a response to George W Bush's invitation to a summit on Nov 15 if he were to be the "President Elect" (that's the "top email" breitbart leads with)
yawn. A presidential transition team is planning some of the 1100 presidential appointees before the election is over? EVIL
It's dangerous to treat politics as a spectator sport like civman110 is.What he means by this is that due to either his privilege or ignorance, he can treat politics solely as picking your team and deriving a sense of self worth from seeing it win.

I already know you don't and/or can't read, but I suggest trying:
The transition process started quietly about 10 weeks ago, when Obama asked Podesta to begin a full-scale review of the federal government and to compile lists of potential hires. Podesta, who now runs the Center for American Progress (CAP), a progressive think tank, created a transition board that included Clinton administration alumni, CAP colleagues and several of Obama's outside advisers. Obama has participated little in this exercise beyond urging aides to look at all sorts of candidates, including Republicans (retiring Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska is most often mentioned) and individuals from the business community.
It's dangerous to treat politics as a spectator sport like civman110 is.
At this point I wouldn't even bother with him anymore to be honest. You're almost there civman
read literally the next sentences......
"Clay Johnson III, deputy director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, said “the White House staff has met with transition representatives” for Mr. McCain and Mr. Obama.
“Both campaigns are doing what they need to do to be prepared to govern on Jan. 20 at noon,” said Mr. Johnson, who was executive director of the Bush transition team in 2000-1. “The amount of work being done before the election, formal and informal, is the most ever.”
Did they go to swap recipes at these meetings?
"The emails show a transition plan being worked on before the 2008 election had taken place
Remember how shocked the Republicans were that Obama won? They were predicting a GOP blow out.

???
I was a volunteer on the McCain campaign and I don't recall anyone even thinking we had a chance. GWBush had so badly tarnished the GOP brand that JHC couldn't have pulled that one out.
