Now as we won Wiz01, I thought of putting up a new game while waiting to get C3C.

Stats:

Difficulty:Monarch.
Civ: China
World size: Tiny.
World stats: Pangaea or continents, I prefer pangaea.
Warmth/moisture/age: Warm, wet, 5 billion.
Barbs: Raging.
Other civs: 3 Random.

Player roster: Now with the correct order!

Dominix

So, we'll start ASAP, when we get enough players.

Anyone want to make a map? If not, I'll do it myself

Civ version: Original, 1.29f.

No use for this to be a "waiter" for me anymore, I got C3C! But, I'll play this anyway.

The victory condition shall be chosen so that it only is allowed, so let's choose wisely.

And Conquest is not allowed in any circumstances, it would be too easy.

Is culture link going to be off? I hope so, because Samurai and War Elephants would be a PAIN...

For what it's worth, in my experience an SG is the place to try a difficulty higher than the one you're used to. Playing to an audience makes you play more careful, and playing with others and the discussion you'll have makes you aware of more options. All in all you'll have fun *and* learn some in the process.

IMHO, if you want a quick game (which is what the title implies) we can only go for conquest/domination, 'cause diplo/space/cultural will take far longer and then this won't be a 'quick waiter'....

I'm gonna answer the lurker. I agree completely. And since I have only played one game on Regent, I figured this might be the second one...

OK... I think it would be ok if we tried domination, it's alittle harder (?) to achieve than conquest... Because you need to get all the area needed, not only destroy everyone.

So, Darkness and Håkon are in.

I'm not sure whether we should go for Monarch, but I think I'll try it because we have Bede and Darkness here to help.

I'd be willing to join but you'd have to stick me on the weekend shift. I don't have any preferences, but if we're going for a quick game I suggest Persia or Iro with conquest as the victory condition (obviously Regent is easier than Monarch, but I'm fine with both levels).

I think we should go for Domination on Monarch.

Civ, please say your thoughts, I think China is ok, Persia or Iro would be too easy (?)... But, personally I don't really care who we are playing as.

China sounds nice, yes. I say we put all victory conditions on, to put it a bit hard, but let's go for domination (a bit harder) on Monarch. (just don't blame me if I mess it up)
