Wiz03|Quick waiter

:( Sorry people. I'll have to pull out of this game due to computer problems.
I can't start Civ3 (PTW works fine). Whenever I load the civ3 CD into my computer and the autorun sequence takes over I get an error. It says that the correct CD isn't in the CD-player. IN FRENCH. And I've got the english version of the game  So I'm out, sorry!

Sorry to hear that... :(

Ok, anyone else want to make a map?

I'll update the first page stats. :)

Ok, could someone please post a start?

Ah, I know. I'll let the first player in the list start the game & post a start first. :)

So, Bede or Håkon, either one who gets this first, may post a start & play the first 15 turns. :)

OK. China on Monarch level with all victory conditions on. Don't flame me if this start is pathetic, ok? With the first 15 turns.

I'll take the next 10 after Hakon finishes if nobody minds.

Turnlog:

Pangaea, 70% water, wet, warm, 5 billion
China
All conditions on
3 random civs
Culturally Linked Start off
Respawn AI off
Accel Production off
All others on
Monarch level

4000 BC: Has to move off a cattle square. Moves one square SW. Worker roads and irrigates cattle.

3950 BC: Beijing founded. Bronze Working in 11 turns. Settler started.

3650 BC: Waste some shields and switch to Warrior.

3600 BC: Now Settler.

3550 BC: Warrior explores and gets maps from the Sakae. Spices in SE.

3450 BC: Some other civ discovered in the west.

3400 BC: Bronze Working ---> Iron Working.

3350 BC: Warrior Code sold to Americans for Pottery and 4 gold.

3300 BC: IDIOT! Forget that Beijing would be rioting.

3250 BC: Settler in 1 turn as Beijing survives.

Summary: OK start I guess, Beijing could be our settler factory. Not a lot to say apart from the obvious - America must be taken out quickly. They have Bronze Working though, so we must get Swordsmen first.

EDIT: Silly me. Forgot to attach a save. Here it is.

Ok well I'll take it then...

 I saw two Wiz03 save's when I uploaded another save, but it isn't posted here?

Looks good, anyway, Håkon.

And :thanx: for playing the save.

Ok, Bede is up when Dominix posts the save...

Smellin', are you able to play yet? If you are, just say, and I'll let you play before your computer crashes again...

It's probably Dominix who hasn't gotten round to writing a turnlog yet.

Wizard: nope, computer still in Montgomery. I'll let you know as soon as I know something. Would someone post a picture after some more exploring is done? I haven't worked up the nerve to try to install Civ on my school's computer..heh.

Sorry this took so long, for some reason CFC was running really slow for me last night...

3250BC(0): Get worker to start roading to next city. Usually I would have Beijing build a granary but considering our close proximity to the Americans I think we ought to chuck out a city first. Aye, there was a clown in Beijing, not a good idea to think. Put him back to work and set lux to 10

3200BC(1): Beijing settler > settler. Set lux to 0

3150BC(2): spot french border

3100BC(3): we contact the french, they have alphabet

3050BC(4): nothing

3000BC(5): Shanghai founded, set to warrior. Americans have CB

2950BC(6): nothing

2900BC(7): nothing

2850BC(8): Americans find New York where I was going to put the next city

2800BC(9): nothing

2750BC(10): Beijing settler > barracks. Settler heading for the spices (south spot). Indian warrior pops up from the jungles above Beijing. Trade him masonry for Alphabet, CB and 10g (sweet!) IW in 5 at 0gpt.

Here is the save

Ok, if Smellin' won't be able to play after Bede, I'll take it then.

So, Bede, you're up!

Ok, seems like we have contact with eveyone. :) Now we will be able to trade techs etc. :)

Got it. Will look at tonight, post comments and strategy for comment, play tomorrow, Sunday.

Preturn: Ok, I check everythig to see where we are going... Seems good. :) Fortify warrior in Beijing. Move worker onto Spices in order to connect it. Move both warriors north.

2310BC: Move both warriors north again. Start road onto spice.

2190BC: Our warrior is killed when attacking a barb camp. :(

2150BC:

IBT: Shanghai worker > archer. Road done to horses.

2110BC:

IBT: Beijing archer > settler.

2070BC: Our warrior kills barb camp.

IBT: We get a palace expansion! Yay! :)

2030BC: Archer moves onto a mountain near the American border.

1990BC: Nothing really...

1950BC: Zzz...

1910BC: Whoops... One turn too much...

So, If Smellin can't take it, It's Håkon again...

Oh - didn't notice...will dl and play tonight, is that ok?

Sure. :) This game is going way fast now, anyway... A little delay won't do any harm.

Oh, and I was playing in a little rush yesterday, so I might have messed up something...
