You can't beat van Persie and Fabiano for miserable failures. A cost of 18 and they combined for 6 points against North Korea and Denmark... 
I had Van Persie, and Fabiano as a Captain. Tried Pazzini but he didnt play. First had Torres, but unsure if he would play, so i subbed him with Villa.
Prediction: Torres scores 5 goals, Villa gets Red Carded after 2 min.
Also have Fabregas alltough i know he always starts on the bench, AHHHHH.

Compare two of my fielded players -- Dani Alves (Brazil) and Casillas (Spain) -- the former cost 7.5, earned 2, latter cost 8 and presumably will get 3, to two of my benched players -- Brecko (Slovenia) got 8 while costing 3.5 and Kingson (Ghana) got 10 while costing 5. 5 points for 15.5 vs a missed 18 from 8.5. Then I also have Ribery, Terry, Van Persie, Lucio, Xavi...

Seems like a pretty good team.

Transfers are changes made between rounds, which swap players out of your squad of 23. Substitutions are done during the round, and are switching the starting XI with those on the bench.

You can do the transfers whenever you want. You just can't use the players you trade for until the next round which makes sense.

Hah, I totally forgot to make transfers and set up my team in between rounds, but somehow Luis Fabiano came out and scored 2 goals for me (he's my captain, but I was going to change that cause he didn't do crap in the first game against korea)
So no transfers for me yet, but I did just make my first substitution, we'll see how that goes over
