World War II 1939 - A Civilization IV Moddification

we have a small bug :blush: :rolleyes: but today we can relase "beta" version of mod. please wait for link :)

The release is a BIGGGG One... :eek:

It looks like the final executable install zip file turned out to be 217.7mb...

This compares to (in no particular order) these sample mods:
Rhyes and Fall of Civ at 23.18mb
Fall from Heaven II at 253.75mb
Sevomod-Mastery at 181.2mb
Rhyes and Fall of CivWarlords at 34.45mb
Warhammer Fantasy Battles at 76.53
Katalanos WW2 Mod at 17.13mb
Second Revolution Warlords at 104.9mb
Max Riga Mod at 38mb

FYI... while we wait for the download server to come back online... :rolleyes:

Hopefully in a few more hours asioasioasio or kodzi will get the download server back up and post the link to download... :D

Hopefully they have 1/2 a dozen servers/mirrors to download this - on my run of the mill Australian slow speed DSL it took almost 3 hours... I envy those with high speed fibre/DSL... :p

Jungle, you should join Optus with 12Mbps :D

I can't wait for the download. According to Australian time, it is already 1 day behind the scheduled date. Time goes so slow...

It's due the TPSA - the internet monopolist in our country. Since it's monopolist, it makes everything so sloooow and so expensive. We're trying to upload it since yesteday 5 p.m. - now its 6 a.m. :wallbash: . The downloadable link should be in a couple of hours

Thx to Laurier for his help with hosting we would be able to share it soon (still couple of hours - sorry people especially from Australia and Asia - i know you started weekend and want to try the mod asap :). I'm sure the time you spend is worthy of waiting - even it's the beta and it's before nice cleaning and debuging now :).

One more thing - in the downloaded file after installing mod - in mod directory will be questionnaire wich will help us make improvments and debuging faster.

Okay, this mod is fun.

It loads quickly and without a hitch for me. The graphics are great, the turns are quick and the progression of techs are logical.

I get a crash to desktop when the Wonder Penicillin is created though.
Also, the wonder Ministry of Education can be build in all cities, not just one.

Tell me about the costs of various units and buildings and wonders, please. Some of them seem overpriced and too hard to get. I have been playing the DDay scenario and most of my German cities simply can't build anything fast enough to be useful.

The amount of work that was put into this mod is amazing, thanks for all your time and energy.

the costs of buildings will be corrected - i notcied that too
Penicillin and other wonders crashes - it might be something wrong with movies or someting else - not only penicillin crashes

This ministries should work a little bit like pallace - can be build anywhere (they add global bonus so it doesn't matter where is build - it affect whole economy) and without restriction that national wonders have. I'll check buildings for bugs - it was one of the last thing corrected before relase and as we se the most buggy
 
Whoa.. think I found a bug:

The M4 Sherman and MkVI Crusader both are listed as having 1 to 51! first strikes? I'm guessing that was a typo in the unitinfos?

May I suggest editing the time in the game? I've been playing and it's already 1945 and I've only researched 2 techs..

Maybe editing a month a turn to a week a turn
