I dislike Tarantino, and had since the first movie of his i watched, back when i was in the end of highschool (Reservoir dogs).

He always has 1-dimensional, or even less (asymptotically appropaching 0-dimensional) characters. I find nothing of interest in his plots either. He did bring something 'new' to the films when he appeared, but that was just in a break from 100% linear narration which was the norm for films at the time. Other than that, though, he brought a mountain of garbage, in my view :\

What do they call a Tarantino movie in France?

Nothing, cause it is below the metric system. :smug:

Brian De Palma. He seems to have a knack for bringing forth stiff, awkward, and trite performances from actors who are capable of much better. It's like watching amateur kabuki with more violence.

George Lucas has directed 18 movies

Spoiler :

2005 Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
2002 Star Wars: Episode II - The Attack of the Clones
2000 Short Chaos 10 (Video short) (short "Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB")
1999 Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
1977 Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
1973 American Graffiti
1971 THX 1138
1971 Bald: The Making of 'THX 1138' (Documentary short) (uncredited)
1969 The Making of 'The Rain People' (Documentary)
1968 Filmmaker (Documentary short)
1967 6-18-67 (Short documentary)
1967 Anyone Lived in a Pretty How Town (Short)
1967 The Emperor (Documentary short)
1967 Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB (Short)
1966 1:42.08 (Documentary short)
1966 Freiheit (Short) (as Lucas)
1966 Herbie (Short)
1965 Look at Life (Short)

Seems like the only good movies he's ever directed are A new hope, American Graffiti, and Revenge of the Sith. Everything else is either a short, a documentary, or just not very good. THX might deserve a mention, and some might include Attack of the Clones, but that's about it. For a supposed legendary director, that not nearly enough.

Oliver Stone is horrible. Just garbage.

And I strongly dislike James Cameron.

George Lucas goes without saying. All of his movies are horrible.

Obviously Uwe Boll. He isn't that famous but on the other hand he ripped apart many pc game franchises.
It is said that many of his earlier movies were only financed because of some crude German tax saving mechanism which would allow it to earn/save money by investing in unsuccessful movies

Len Wiseman (who I had to look up) for Total Recall. Ruining a perfectly good Philip K. Dick novel with an inconsistent plot line.

Re Michael Bay, i think i haven't seen any of his movies (apart from some scenes), but i feel for the guy after watching his break-down when speaking to a large crowd. It is uncool to make fun of that, and so i didn't want to mention his actual directing either :(

There is also that Happening person...

I would say George Lucas. As good as his early work may have been, he made only crappy movies afterwards.

Also, Steven Seagal!

Brian De Palma. He seems to have a knack for bringing forth stiff, awkward, and trite performances from actors who are capable of much better. It's like watching amateur kabuki with more violence.

I liked Scarface!

I would Shyamalan on for e running. I don't think he's made a good movie since the Sixth Sense, though Unbreakable might just count. And I will never forgive him for that atrocity known as the Last Airbender movie.
