Would you consider 180 cm to be short for a man?

1.67 is awesome, particularly if coupled with neoteny :yup:
I am only 5 cm taller than you.
Yep, I read that. We're just the right size, you're better-shaped!

The actual, historical Paul Kruger was 170 cm, but that was a good height for the 19th century.
Like Bonaparte and Mussolini!

Depends.

If you live in the Netherlands, at 180cm you are considered a little person.

If you live in Sri Lanka, at 180cm you are considered a giant

And I know it's easy to say.. but who cares about height? If you can't reach something you really want, use a stick or ask a taller friend.

I am 183 and pass for tall for my generation (people born in the 70s and 80s) but for the younger generation I am fairly average. Don't know what have they been feed with.

This is a good point. My siblings who have children, about a generation younger than you, say that they current coming of age generation is significantly taller than ours. I am not sure I believe it, and I find it hard to believe it is nutrition, but something could be going on.

Probably is nutrition and can happen fairly quickly. See modern day Korea and in WW1 our troops noticed it when seeing the British troops.

The link between nutrition and height is well established, and calorie deficiency in childhood definitely causes a reduction in height. I do not think we were calorie deficient when I was growing up, nor do I think the modern diet is better on a nutrient basis.
