Wrong on so many levels. The Texas Air National Guard has only one (1) fighter squadron that uses F-16 C/D aircraft (the rest of its assets are lift, ground security, and intel assets). This means you allege you are going to maintain air superiority with only about 12 to 24 fighter aircraft at your disposal. Yeah...thats going to happen.

Secondly, is the false assumption that units of the Texas National Guard are funded solely by Texas tax payer money. Totally false. Federal tax dollars are what pay for the training and equipment of all National Guard units accross the field.



Not going to stand up to the bulk of the US military I fear. It would be a blood bath for the Texans who really tried to fight against the US military.

As for your remarks about the National guard, yes the US Military trained them but the equipment is ours, and they are under the direct control of the Govenor, not the US military, any national guard unit that the DOD needs to use must first be cleared by that states government, without it that national guard doesnt do a damn thing

A governor cannot deny the federalization of combat troops. Some state governors already tried that and lost in court. And the equipment isnt yours either...again, it was bought and paid for by the federal government and can indeed be reassigned by them on an as needs basis.
