German Front Report November 1942
After years of production of battleships in Scandinavia this turned out to be a wise decision (could not build Panzers there due to resource problems). The Soviet troops in Finland thinned out and we blitzed them out of Finnland (besides Kemi which is still Finnish) and took Leningrad (which has been sieged by sea over a year) with few SS Panzer divisions.
The main force of the Wehrmacht is still dug in Stalingrad and fighing off wave after wave of British Challenger tanks.
The Hauptquatier is confident that our recent success in Finnland will be the breakthrough in the Russian campaign. Soon we will attack Moskau from the undefended north. Thanks to our long range jet fighters and heavy bombers we are able to support this assault without rebasing Luftwaffe units.
Dutch Harbor fell within a weak. Lost some subs to British naval operations near Japan. Sunk two British carriers as a revenge. The British have lost numerous ships to our Hindenburg class ships hich are still unsunk.
Dezember update: Russian positions crumbled. We were able to concentrate the Wehrmacht divisions based in Vilnius, Riga, Talinn, Minsk, Novgorod and Smolensk into a single Kampfgruppe which is devastating norther Russia. The Scandinavian garrisions have be rebased to Finnland and are laying siege with the Kriegsmarine on Murmansk and Kem. As we were able to cut down the length of our easter front by half we now can use our advantage over the Russians. Our iron grip binds many enemy forces near Stalingrad as well.
Without British support the Soviets would totally collapse and even with their support they are loosing everywhere no Tommies show up.
As the year 1942 ends we can conclude the following:
America at last becomes a production backbone. While they produce slow because of corruption, we produce many units simultaniously. We rally them in Brazil and will soon have a nice suprice for the Allies in Africa.
We now field the following numbers:

Reichsarbeitsdienst:
137 settlers (from about 250), we gave half of them a rest in cities
Our main production in now concentrated on UB type XXI, Panther, SS division 44, He 177, Jagdpanther.
We rarely produce any other unit now. If we are in need of garrison forces we most likely produce German security divisions or German infantry.
Soviets are down to 13 tanks, 20 artillery and 180 infantry. They still field 60 toy planes.
French are at abou 180 infantry, 20 tanks, 20 artillery, 40 planes
China 50 infanty 8 tanks
Italy 1 tank 14 infantry 1 battleship 1 light cruiser 1 transport
Japan 2 Yamato 8 other ships 56 infantry 50 special fortresses 4 marines 10 planes
USA 3 battleships 7 other, 1 tank 1 art, 17 infantry, 3planes

Great Britain
9 artillery 270 infantry 250 tanks (mostly Matildas, new ones all on Stalingrad scrapyards) 35 fighters 20 bombers
1 battleship 2 carriers 8 destroyer flotillas a dozen other ships 4 transports
I honestly don t know if I want to carry on since no other nation can match me anymore. The Kriegsmarine fields enough Hindenburg class ships to rule every sea, our UBs take sure no small fish slip through. The Luftwaffe is able to strike whereever they want. We have enough production to field many new SS Panzer 44 and HE 177 a weak, which are total devastating to everything but Soviet heavy tanks and those tanks are easy prey with combined arms are few in numbers.
We lack troops suited for naval assaults but we have other means to deal with that (naval bombard, airstrikes).
I will post a number of proposals based on my latest playtest (and the sum of other playtests) later.
