WW2-Global

1. Mobilization removed.

2. Draft removed.

3. German Panzer will no longer upgrade.

4. Increased cost for Armour.

5. Decreased cost for Infantry

6. Increased cost for Artillery

7. More Soviet Border Guards added.

8. Reduced research cost for: Land 1940, Air 1940 and Sea 1940.

9. Infrastructure in Turkey heavily reduced to prevent German
and Soviet blitzkrieg through the country.

10. Many minor changes also.

The combined effect of the above mentioned should mean a sharp
change and improvement compared to earler versions!
It should also now be much harder to defeat AI on high levels!

Good news! However I am very busy now and it will unfortunately last a while until I am able to play it. However I will make still remarks here. But the changes sound good.

Adler

Adler,

Looking forward to read your comments on the new version

dferrill,

Looking forward to read your reports.

The last months there have only been a few Japan playtests reported,
so it will be very interesting to hear how this one turns out.

Rocoteh, you and El Justo are going to kill me. How am I ever going to find time for real life stuff when you keep pumping out these "must-play" scenarios?
:)

Good, I'll use this version to play the production variant I outlined before. I'll get to that as soon as I finish this game of AoI... Dangit, I gotta agree with I_Batman. Too many great scenarios, too little time.

But, it looks great Rocoteh. Though I should say, I'm hardly worthy of being listed in the credits.

I_batman,

Thank you.

My next priority will be a new Multiplayer-version of WW2-Global.

psweetman1590,

Thank you.

Your comments and reports have been of great value.

Also: I will soon go off-line and will be away for 4-5 days without
Internet-connection. I hope you will continue to post comments on
version 2.3 during that time.

First of all, great scenario!

The only thing is, do Battleships really need those few extra attack points, because this makes it so that in a Battleship on Battleship clash, the attacker almost always wins.

I have lost FOUR battleships due to this. In every instance, the AI hid their battleship, then popped it out, sunk my battleship, then ran behind a minefield or into a city! It has gotten me peeved enough to dig my nails into my desk.

Four battleships! Four!

What are the exact stats of the BB again? IIRC, the attack and defense are about even IF you take the 10% bonus of defending terrain (ocean) into account. Just plain bad luck Dune. I don't think the stats need any tinkering.

Oh, the 10% defense bonus! Dur! So, the defender actually is about equal (if the attacking battleship has an attack of 60, and the defender a defense of 54 on a sea tile).
I think that actually makes me more angry.

Bad luck be damned, the Germans are losing their North Sea Fleet one way or the other!

Rocoteh, thank you for the new version of this great scenario of WW 2.

Dunedein, when looking on the naval C3C-AI via debug mode, it seems, that the AI has another lousy trick for their ships: Sometimes they don´t use the full movement factor, but fortify their ships with the last movement point. You can do the same with your North Sea Fleet. ;)

So fortifying works with ships? I always thought it didn't. All of my sunk battleships were fortified!!!

Oh, I'm PO'd

I don't think fortify works with ships, they have a greater sight instead of higher defense. Land Units have a white frame when fortified, ships don't have one.
Just think about a ship trying to digg in the waves :mischief:

:trophy: That one is really good
