One month ago I sent a PM to 2K_jason and asked him about the legal situation about the use of the no raze and no cd patches. I did not get any answer until now. I sent again a PM to 2K_jason.

Dear Jason,

I wrote that PM over one month ago and did not get any reply. What is going on? Why did you not make a reply? As having no further news by you or your boss or the person who is having the rights about Civ III until Monday August 13th 2007 CEST I will interprete the silence as at least tolerating the use and distribution of these patches within free fan made mods, thus making all legal claims against this void. If this time is not enough, please tell me.

This PM will hopefully make the situation clear, as they have to react if they do not want these patches being used. If they won't reply, what I expect, we do have the last sign that a use of this patch is at least tolerated by them and no further actions will come. (If they came they would be much more difficult than they are already now.)

Hey sorry I haven't been active. With me juggling my job, programming, web designing, and Counter Strike Source :p , I haven't been able to get on here and let you guys know how I am holdin out. Which is funny because more like how are the Soviets holding out.

Right now the Soviets are losing, and I take about 1 to 2 cities per turn, and soon I will circle Moscow and take it from behind rather than fight the fortresses. :lol: The Soviets I believe are down to 1 supply of Oil, and have pretty much lost all their abilities to produce any war machines and are having to resort to infantry and as we speak, those numbers are now decreasing from their normal 450+ to about 300+ or so give or take some units.

When I conquer most the Soviets, my next plan is to either take Africa or go after Operation Tiger Shark (invasion of England). I call it Tiger Shark because I have Tigers and I have sharks (transports, Hindenburg class, carriers, uboats, etc...).

I have completely blocked the Mediterrainian and I have also blocked my Allies from going through my territory, because I can't stand them obstructing my path. I will relieve the barracade when I have railroads to pretty much every where. Other than that I am trying to force Italy to start using naval transportation because I am not going to let them piggy back off my empire and only get in the way when I try and take land.

Now let me explain some of these numbers here. The German Infantry count is so high because I use them to protect cities that are out of range of being over ran anytime soon, that so I can free up some of my Panzers. I also have a TON of StuG's built, this is because they are cheaper and faster to build than the German 88's and I use them to travel with my larger groups of panzers and leave them behind to protect cities from attack by land. I have so many FW-190 A's because they were cheap to build and I kinda forgot that the FW-190 G was available. oops. I don't have many bombers because well...they get shot down all the time and I just stopped carring about them because all the good they have been to me is defending my country when their are enemies deep into the territory.

I will soon put up some screen shots as to where I am at in the game. I am honestly a turtle to begin with at any game, but I am like a freight train. It takes a bit to gain steam but when I do, you can't stop me because I am pumping Panzer IVhs and Panthers out like mad.

I guess you will probably knock Soviet out of the war soon.

Probably the best way to go now is to invade Britain.

On unit stats:
An interesting balance between unit-types.
This shows that its possible to reach far without a large number of bombers.

You have supported WW2-Global since it was launched.

Rocoteh, the operational Indian SAM battery is located in Nagpur. I checked it on my computer at home - where I play - over lunch and verified it. That's where it is.

Dang, this thing takes about an hour and a half to copy/paste files. I just finished it, was a bit worried when it said 3 days 15 hours till finished lol, but I bet it'll be worth it, as I have been looking for a awesome WWII game for a loong time.

The island of Japan has been conquered by the U.S. which is amazing because typically the AI sucks at overseas combat, but they did it. They took all of the island of Japan and now they are forced into China and will soon feel the might of the British and Soviet hammer (or what is left of the soviets)

Actually yes I have had low numbers of bombers due to the fact that I keep having them shot down when I bomb areas and I can't stand wasting my planes so I just decided to halt most production of bombers and beef up air defenses because I was / am being bombed relentlessly in the west and in Saudi Arabia.

Since the last report I have been rebuilding my new empire west of the urals and building a fleet and army capable of launching an invasion of north america. The soviets accepted my peace terms soon after the last report and there was peace in europe for several months. As soon as peace was agreed the soviets began producing is2s again so it must have been me cutting off their new capital from their asiatic empire which stopped this. The peace did not last long 5 weeks ago japan once again attacked the soviets dragging the axis in.

the peace has been kind to italy when it was declared I had less than 300 m15 divisions this had increased to 525 by the reopening of war. I also have almost 300 heavy artillery and 60 mobile. The soviets have not produced anywhere near as fast, I had cut their forces down to just over a hundred heavy armor divisions by war end and this had only increased to 130 odd by week 38. I have also had some success in building a rail network in eastern europe so when hostilities commenced i was able to pull my armies from their sealion posts in spain to immediately renew the offensive. I have recently captured the soviets 4th capital murmansk and expect to conquer all of scandinavia in the next couple of months. I have also advanced beyond the urals. The soviets are well and truly broken and the largest counterattack I have faced so far consisted of 2 is2s and 8 guard divisions.

preparations for sealion have been lengthier than hoped all of my mediteranean cities had been building battleships since the first failed attempt and it was finally launched in week 37. The british had been able to finally push the wehrmacht out of london around 20 weeks earlier. (it was interesting that even after at one point losing all of southern england britain was still able to push germany back when she became distracted with russia.) my fleet consisted of 45 bbs 1 c3 carrier with 5 re 2000s (i have finally been able to rebuild my airforce in the peacetime). 5 aa cruisers 3 destroyers and 11 transports loaded with mobile artillery and m15s. This fleet was virtually unopposed in the air as it made its way to the uk and has just captured plymouth. it has also staged to northern france where another 66 divisions were loaded on. I will continue to resupply sealion from france and expect the uk to quickly fall as my sheer numbers overwhelm its defences.

on other fronts the us has been making a nuissance of itself in the pacific capturing rabaul and the solomon islands. I sent my pacific fleet along with most of my australian army and retook them. however the american fleet evaded me and landed and took northern australia. I have now sent my fleet back and retaken it. however the americans have just taken new caledonia off me. (incidentally new caledonia produces marines for me, very useful but i understand a bug). I am now sending my fleet to retake new caledonia and hopefully finally catch the americans in open ocean.

I continue to build a fleet near gibralter for my american invasion to add to that now carrying out sealion. I have now all but stopped producing bbs as my main focus is transports i will need almost 200. I intend to invade with 500 armoured divisions supported by 300 heavy artillery and at least a 100 mobile artillery I will also need considerable flak and I intend to take 100 workers. I am also building c3 carriers as I will attempt to control the skys with my re 2000s, i will have to use numbers as they are substandard to US fighters, so far 40 are built. As shown I intend to commit virtually my entire armed forces to the atlantic crossing fortunately there is now no real threat from the russians or anyone else outside the north american continent. I hope to be able to launch early in 1947 by which time russia and britain should be thoroughly conquered.

I beleive as long as I treat the US forces as i did the russians withdrawing when neccesary and not trying to defend the cities i should be succesful. Hopefully i will achieve some surprise and be able to quickly build a buffer zone before their main forces arrive. Unlike against the russians i will have a numerical advantage although obviously my forces are of poor quality. A slight concern is the US now has a couple of A bombs which could possibly smash my armies or my fleet. However I have never seen the ai make a first nuclear strike in a game of civ so i am not to worried!

I am playing as italy and also have no air units with lethal bombard. I have played as germany and some of their dive bombers do have the ability I have found to my cost some british bombers have it. I beleive some us bombers have it and suspect soviet later models may have it.

ahhh, nasty! I had that same prob although figured it out before playing ww2 global not so bad on general ci v game cant imagine moving 200 divisions around one by one!

on keeping italian forces bottled up to stop them disrupting your transport net definately keep doing it. AI allies can be a nightmare ive lost cities in past that i had enougth troops to save but my so called allies were in the way.
 
Is there a fix for the pedia problem I posted previously? I would like to continue this game, but if the pedialarge error is a fatal one I can dump the save and free up some drive space.

I have never seen ai make a first strike in civ 3. Although generally in standard epic games i would be ahead of ai by nuclear age. I am interested has anyone ever seen ai make a first strike?

It's definately worth the wait, there will be a looong load time on game as well!
 
oh rocoteh on new version could their be autoproduced baltic forces aligned to the axis like the croatian infantry. many baltic peoples fought with the germans. My grandmothers neighbor is an estonian emigree who volunteered for the luftwaffe as a teenager.

Was it AA-fire or enemy fighters that destroyed most of your planes?

In version 2.5 favorite government for Japan will be Communism.
That should make Japan-AI less interested in attacks against Soviet.

Favorite government in the editor thus refers to which governments
in other Civs AI will like or dislike.

I think this is the first time an Italian Sealion is reported.

I will fix this bug and bugs of the same type in version 2.5.

Yes you are right. It seems like AI very seldom will launch a first
nuclear strike in Civ 3.
