XTR1--- Regent SG

Yeah, we won-- conquest victory in 1230. :)

The Save

Pre-turn - Scroll through cities and make a couple of minor changes. Palace due in 18 instead of 20t in Deck. Hurry a library for 16g in Riza. Hurry another library in New Mulga for 68g. Put a few citizen on riversquares for a couple of extra gold. Looks good.

A few civs knows Feudalism.

420 AD - We learn Feudalism from GLib and reseach Chivalry - 7turns at -55. We have 2600g.
A couple of civs start building Sun Tzu. We also have 25 horses and more coming, so knights will be good to have. We can upgrade 30 something when we learn chivalry, that's sufficient enough. Perhaps I reach for invention as well.

Riza library - worker
New Mulga library - barracks
Urfa barracks - courthouse

Deck is stuck on 6 pop without aquaduct and Sun Tzu would still take 27 turns. I try for that wonder in Istanbul, 28t for now, but I will improve some tiles.

Check diplo. Get a worker and some gold from Japan for Poly. Sell WM around for 80g or so. Buy silks from Greece for wines and 210g, this allow me to set luxtax back to zero and reseach chivalry in 6t at -48g.

430 AD - Aydin marketplace - library
Ankara aquaduct - marketplace
Karabuk walls - barracks
Some horses are built, I won't mention every horse produced.

440 AD - Izmit marketplace - courthouse
Konya horse - settler

450 AD - Kirklareli walls - barracks

Hurry worker in Riza

460 AD - Have to renew the ivorydeal with Egypt and now they extort us. I have to give spices and wine + 92g, but we need it for now. Later we take it from the greedy wench.

Riza worker - courthouse

Workers mined mountain and plains by Istanbul, Sun Tzu down to 20 turns.

470 AD - The Babs are building Sistine chapel.

480 AD - We learn chivalry -> Invention 11t / -11g
We learn Theology from GLib
Switch Deck the Halls to Sistine / 21 turns. We want Leo's here.
Konya settler - pikeman

490 AD - Nothing interesting. Checked our military, we have 41 horsemen :)

500 AD - Aydin library - pikeman

Cankiri founded to put some pressure on an Arab city - library

510 AD - Our first knight is built in Salonika :)

We are 7 turns from Invention at -2g, when we have it change build in Deck to Leo's.
I think we can slow down research after this and gather more gold, we have 2099g atm.

We can probably afford to upgrade a bunch of horses to knights already and go for Arabia. They are without iron, so now is a good time. After that we can take out Egypt (when the trade deal is over in 14 turns) and teach Cleo what becomes the greedy.

Alternative civ to attacks would be Babs, they have Furs and Silks and no iron either.

We should connect Riza with the incense, workers will be available anytime now.

hmm i got it im not much of a warmonger, i think im gonna play 5 or so turns and maybe let more of a war junkie take over, what do you guys think?

I think you should upgrade 20 or so knights, declare honorably on Arabia and take a few cities :)

Make sure you poke around in their cities before attacking, so we know where to expect attacks from. :)

sry for the delay, im not gonna be able to play this today and maybe not even tommorow. if someone wants to step in they are welcome otherwise ill try to get it done by thursday

im sorry for delaying this game so much but im going to have to pass on this turn. i simply dont have any time lately, so if somebody else wants to take this up he is welcome to do so.

Pfft gunner, you just got scared staring down the barrel of a gun :D

Just kidding.

SC, perhaps you can take up your lagging turn from long ago...I believe Affirmative is in RL-mode atm, he hasn't posted much the last week. And I played last...

If you have time, go for whatever opponent you see fit for the purpose and try to make it quick. The war I mean, a few turns taking the necessary towns and then back to buildups of infrastructure.

I looked at the map and we could actually wage 2 wars at the same time and grab some luxes...Arabs and Babs. And keep it fairly short just to consilidate our position. But that's only me :)

Why I think this would work? Those opponents doesn't have any iron as far as I know, so it will be quite easy for our knights.

And don't forget Leo's in Deck when we learn Invention.

Hot damn, I could easily wipe off another 10 turns and "consilidate" our estate right now. But it isn't prudent to play more than the designated turns, so I hope SC can take over and do what I wanted to do :) Or something better even?

I would've gone for a 3-front war including Egypt with the other two, but unfortunately I renewed the ivory deal with them, and we prefer to fight honestly :)
